News we have is if he goes outside of the premier league they will have to put him on huge money. |

Can spend big and waste money Clucas Sanchez Bony 2nd time round just a few examples.
There are bargains out there Rangel,Manning, Michu Leon long time ago some I know but you don't have to spend massively to find talent at our level.
And that goes for all positions.

Hopefully there's more interest than what we're aware of so can hold off until we find the highest bidder but he's an untested player at the highest level (PL or international) so clubs will be weighing up the risk elements if he is unable to adapt.

we do not know but with the new manager and looking like the new investment, wonder if that may get Piro to sign a BETTER contract or not? but for me selling to a rival is not the way to go, its going to be much harder this coming season to get to the play offs with the clubs coming down why make it harder? | | | |

I admire the optimism/hutzpah/cheek etc. But yes, go high and see where we end up. I'll be surprised if we get more than 8 plus add ons.
I also agree that in the past we have found bargains, Rangel, leon....Piroe and we could do it again but it's not guaranteed. No harm in being optimistic though. | | | |

I read somewhere interest from Italy. Remember this guy was one to watch when he was in Netherlands u17 squad. He was linked to Juventus at 17 I recall reading.
They will have noticed he is back on his mojo and has excellent pedigree.
He struggled on loan in the Netherlands mainly because he was restricted to sub cameos. The new Leicester coach will not have him running around like a headless chicken and battling for second balls like a demon.
Piroe presses in a clever way. This way is subtle and about angles and cutting off out balls. It also does not waste energy.
Coventry want Whitaker to replace Goykeres. They do well with Swansea rejects. Interesting to see if Duff praises Whittaker and talks of re integration and be "in his plans". Marsh might have explained he has a £3m tag and needs to be moved on.

You know there is a big difference between running around like a headless chicken and an effective press.
We didn't employ the headless chicken approach last season and I don't think Duff does either. A high tempo approach doesn't have to mean headless chickens and in fact as Barcelona used to show, a clever high tempo press is very effective. Barcelona used to aim to get the ball back within 5 passes. Press a player quickly enough and pressure him into the mistake is the ethos. | | | |
