The Ashes on 18:17 - Jul 23 by Whiterockin | Although the Aussies retain the ashes there's still a lot to play for. Win the last test for a series draw and the Aussies will have retained the ashes not won them. A decent achievement considering some were predicting a 5-0 whitewash. |
Only Glenn McGrath, and he always does that. England can look at the first two tests and rue missed opportunities to win them. Australia will look at the second two tests and count themselves lucky that Manchester is wet. Over the series England were probably the better side and the Australians will be well aware of that. It'll be interesting to see what happens next time around. England will certainly need another quickie or two because I can't see Anderson carrying on much beyond this Summer. Maybe Broad too.
| Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. |

The Ashes on 14:34 - Jul 30 with 1066 views | union_jack | On course for winning the Ashes atm. It’s a shame England suffered that (typical) batting collapse yesterday as it would have reduced Australia’s time at the crease and also make it difficult to chase down the total needed.

If they do, you can’t argue with that. As I mentioned, that collapse yesterday may prove very costly and typical of England teams.

Manchester definitely saved Australia from a defeat, but yesterday's rain definitely helped England - especially the way Australia were batting, and the ball doing nothing. The rain break this afternoon also helped England - but a wonderful series, and a fantastic finish by England.
