Just so it's clear, I had to re-register with a new email and username after some technical issues that kept happening at my end for no reason I could find.
Maybe my laptop has a virus...

Well I tried logging on and the username just switched to an old one. I tried logging out, puttin the Cat name back and logging in again and it switched again.,, I tried resetting the password in case they were the same but it still switched.
it happened before and then it stopped, then this week it happened again. So I asked a mod to delete former names and re-registered in the hope it goes away.
I have no idea why. I aske a mate who is a programmer and he was clueless too. It's not all that's happening either, randomly some keys on the laptop don't work, I keep getting an error message saying teams cannot load because something is missing and re-installing might fix it. I tried that but the message pops up every time I start it up. I tried deleting all teams stuff but tstill the message is there.
The blooming thing is only 14 months old too.
Honestly dont think your laptop/pc is faulty. Have you tried saving your files, totally wiping the computer and then starting afresh. Not as daunting as it sounds

I don't think there is any need atm to do that, sounds quite a drastic measure, which I have a funny feeling, is a simple fault/fix.
For some reason I'm thinking, did Cat/Lorax use the same password? If not, I'll think again.
Also could have cleared history/cache and also saved passwords from settings, it's a bit of a puzzle this, I can't see any way if you manually enter user and pass to a specific site, it would change. That would hint towards an error on site, but that is not the case by the look.

I think if he gets his IT guys at work to do all the updates, remove all the cache, etc, and maybe possibly completely delete Team and load fresh, then it should be okay ?

I know right ?🤣🤣 All the solutions to fix anything on Google always has a paragraph which says "Unplug the power lead. Switch off and hold the power button for 20 secs ( or whatever) " Rarely works but seems obligatory

Right, it is all up to date, I checked. The updates are on automatic.
You can stop worrying about it guys, I changed usernames, I have a new password and even though that error message is still coming up everything seems to be working OK.
I'd get the IT crowd onto it but that Richard Ayoade fella seems quite useless.

Over the years been tearing my hair out, and a reboot fixed it
Catts problem seems a little more tricky, but honest I would never say delete my username, because I couldn't log in.
I would find the fault, I would have too, mechanically wise cars and stuff I don't really care, software phones and pcs/laptops I love.

They are our friend for fixing stuff, about a month ago the 4 sliced toaster we have, the right hand side wasn't working.. Push it down came back up..
So we are like oh ferking great we have to buy a new toaster..
Then a quick google recommended banging the hell out of it to loosen maybe trapped crumbs..
And it worked :) I felt like Fred Fix It after sorting that, I'm sure the missis even expressed her gratitude.
Wow - must have been impressive to get a thanks from the missus. I have learnt how to fix all sorts of things. Laptops, PC's gaming consoles, vacuum cleaners. Also wrecked quite a few items that may otherwise have carried on working along the way
