What with the new manager being Dutch, maybe he has just gone in there to translate? I seem to recall that in his time in the Netherlands as manager of FC Twente Schteeeeeve was that good at the language even I more or less understood......

That guy is a miracle. The least impressive person I've ever met in football. Millionaire. One top job after another.
He may be one of those people who has the personality type and 'just enough' intelligence to push for jobs, but not enough to feel overburdened with self-doubt or the thought that he may be blagging like a motherfcuker here.
We all see them in our daily working lives, usually ordering us about in some way or other. In some settings they're called sociopaths.
Him and that ten hag fella will be lucky to finish the season at United
And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot
That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles

I'm utterly sh*t at self-promotion/networking but bloody good at my job (even if I say so myself!!). Probably why I haven't progressed further than I have yet see people who are clearly not very good at what they do but know how to play the game end up in much higher positions. Not that they last long.
I remember about a decade ago quite a few people in our department applied for a senior position that had been created and my boss said after it was all done that one person (who we both knew to be crap) actually interviewed really well. The sort of person that would elevate but once found out is then hard to get rid of. Funny thing was that that person was so 'devastated' at not getting the role they didn't come into the office for three days. The freakin' audacity of it.
But yes, Scheeetve is indeed a good coach, sh*t Manager.

Does that mean that if we get Zidane as our new manager, he'll bring Barton along as his interpreter? I'm worried!
"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."

Excellent hypothesis. There are soooo many of these and they're often good at getting up the greasy pole of success because they rarely threaten anyone, given their inferior competence, eg. Iain Duncan Smith becoming Tory leader.
