Previous encounters don’t really matter as does the result, getting the first team in to match fitness is the goal. However the last time the clubs met the swans knocked Plymouth of the Football League Trophy in November 2016. The score was 2-0. Competitively in the league the last meeting was a 1-1 away draw at Home Park in 2010.
As it stands we assume away fans will be allowed at the game as Welsh sides have taken supporters to games in England in recent days, as of July 19th this is confirmed.
So, What is a Plymouth ? The city itself is near Brighton and not far from Portsmouth or Southampton, sometimes Weymouth. Plymouth has a hoe, but most of the time she isn’t working these days due to Covid and the fact she is worn out. From a male perspective other hoes are available.

In 1979 Swansea City appeared for the first time on Match of the day. The game was at Home Park and the result was 2-2. The Swansea support behind the goal that day was amazing as the second goal was scored by John Toshack.
Swansea City: Geoff Crudgington, Wyndham Evans, Danny Bartley, Leighton Phillips, Nigel Stevenson, John Toshack, Brian Attley (Jeremy Charles), Robbie James, Alan Curtis, Alan Waddle, Ian Callaghan.
Doesn’t that line up bring a tear to your origins ?

And again
Job done
Swansea City have always taken large supports to games in the south west, however the games at the Vetch and Liberty haven’t seen anything resembling the same. The welcome has never been that good for these sides, however that was the dark days of yore, these days we are all friends and share bags of chips together in perfect harmony.

Latibeaudiere having a bit of a time. Letting things bounce and not big or fast enough to hold off pressure he's inviting.
.
He’s got a mistake or three in him most games. Seems lackadaisical and is a pale shadow of his younger bullish self.
Whittaker looks on it.
Cullen fluffing his lines too often.
Bench has some proper exciting prospects..

Dan Williams filling in at right back. Bit makeshift this lineup now.
Glad you know the players. Stokes and Curtis have no clue. Both on easy street. Anthony Stokes in his Swansea Sound days (if it the same man) knew the Bury sponge man and could name the Mansfield's lucky cat. Asking him to identify an Argyle player today is a big ask these days where standards and respect level have dropped.

Unpacking / repacking his bags who knows these days
I have argued if Cooper wants his teams to play better he needs better coaches to come and help him. Evolution can be speeded up a bit with new thinking, Swansea should still aspire to Brendan / Laudrup standards 2011-2014 Wembly Stadium and the Mestella.
