I've been doing some online lectures and while waiting for people to join I've been introducing todays youngsters to some of my favourites from the era. It's fair to say that they're not impressed, but I enjoy it so they can naff off. So far I've got in reserve:

We have The man with the Midas touch at home, if that's the one you are referring to. We were going to see what was his last appearance in London, but never made it, gutted that we never got to see him live. Brilliant composer.

I wouldn't leave the house until I'd seen Casey Jones or I'd scream the place down. Used to drive the teachers and my mum mad. There were some benefits to being a headmaster.
I know it's 70's but Van Der Valk reminds me of going to Amsterdam as a young teenager. First of many trips abroad. Loved it BTW can't wait for the new series

Watched a few episodes a few months back. Remember loving it as a very young kid...a tad gooey and overly wholesome as an adult...but he was one of the good guys!
