MARK WARBURTON 14:35 - Sep 20 with 6374 views | gazza1 | I have listened to many QPR Managers over the years but when I listen to MW he talks so well, he is truthful (well he seems to be!!), talks so much sense, explains things very clearly, no pretending, comes across as very grateful to be the Manager of QPR, looks proper,.....I'm impressed. I hope he gets what he deserves, over the first couple of months it has been 'well proper' and I hope it continues when we do go though a dodgy period. I will give him an 8/10 for the first month of the season.
MARK WARBURTON on 14:50 - Sep 20 with 5238 views | Mytch_QPR | I heard him being interviewed after one of the games (forget which one) on 5 Live and they asked him about being out of football management for a while. He said he'd spent a lot of time preparing / looking at new ideas etc. I got the impression that he has waited a long time for this opportunity and he is very driven to make it succeed. Players and fans smiling at the moment - long may it continue!

MARK WARBURTON on 18:08 - Sep 20 with 4725 views | barbicanranger | This division is brutal though. That great run we went on last season with McLaren - I honestly couldn't see where it would go wrong. All that said, Warburton took the right steps from day one in not bombing out all the youth talent and dare I say he has emboldened Manning, Chair, Eze, etc. Things feel good right now and out of no where everything that the club has talked about for a long time seems to be in sync and coming to fruition - youth players coming through and making a meaningful difference to the 1st team, selling youth players like Furlong for profit, playing good football, straight talking manager, etc. Long may it continue. MARK WARBURTON on 19:31 - Sep 20 with 4562 views | DavieQPR | MacLaren's problem was that he couldn't see when to change things. We got sussed out the 2nd half of the season but still used the same tactics with the wrong subs at the wrong time. Warburton has already used 3 or 4 different tactics and not afraid to make early changes.
MARK WARBURTON on 19:31 - Sep 20 with 4562 views | queensparker | Best manager since Warnock (albeit a very different one) What they both did in such a short time over one pre season (as every other intervening manager has showed) is very very difficult. You get the feeling his trading nous and experience at Brentford is really helping out Les as well. We need to show patience during the inevitable blips now. I only want him leaving if he gets offered a better job a la Venables (was he our last manager to get poached?). F–king sick of the short termism and we’ve found someone to help rebuild our club long term.
MARK WARBURTON on 19:36 - Sep 20 with 4557 views | bosh67 | He has with his team put together a very balanced squad that doesn't have fringe players and a mentality that everyone will get their chance a play a part. Miles healthier than anything we've had for years. For those old enough he reminds me of Dave Sexton, who was also very good at creating an attacking team, adapting tactically and using the squad well. Millwall is not a happy hunting ground for us so we'll have to be at our best to get anything there but I think Warburton over this season will keep us evolving and developing, hopefully in the top half of the table. Definitely the most professional manager we have had in here for many a year. Certainly since Warnock.

"Warburton is adamant they deserve to be four points better off, which would place them top of the Championship instead of seventh". Hasn't seemed like he's taken consolidation, slow progress, The Remit for an answer since he's arrived has he.

He’s not in dreamland though saying that. At 1-1 against Swansea we were all over them, had 2/3 chances, they were reeling, and then out of the f–king blue Barbet gave away a totally unnecessary penalty. Could easily have won that +3 points Against Bristol City we were doing well 1-0 down, creating chances and then out of the f–king blue Rangel/Barbet/Lumley basically toe punted the ball into their own net. A draw was looking v achieveable +1 point Cut that sh-t out and we’ll get a lot more points [Post edited 20 Sep 2019 21:03]

"Cut that sh-t out and we’ll get a lot more points" ... This I think has been said to our players over the last 100+ years... most seasons.

It’s just refreshing that we have a manager that understands the club. The fact that he was present watching the team of ‘76 makes me feel that he was an R all the time. And if that team is to be his blueprint then bring it on. Tactically a better manager than Neil Warnock, and I’ll always be a big Warnock fan. Innovative like Venables without a doubt. And you sense that if we ever was to sell Eze then it would be for big money and he would already have a list of incoming players. For me I think that MW was the best signing made by the club this summer.

MARK WARBURTON on 01:23 - Sep 21 with 4103 views | timcocking | 8 is a touch low imo. Given what we've suffered in recent years and factoring in all of the mitigating stuff, i.e. dozens of players in and out, i'm giving him 10/10 so far, because what he's achieved in such...implausible if not impossible circumstances, has been nothing short of amazing. If not ten, definitely 9 and a half. It's the first time we've played how i'd be trying to get us to play for decades and in my opinion he's made the likes of Hughes, Holloway, MaClaren, Hasslebaink et al look bloody useless. I'm not sure i even contemplated Nahki Wells and Hugill both actually starting, it just never entered my head. [Post edited 21 Sep 2019 1:31]

Me too. Had been banging on about him for years hoping he would come here. He is our new Dave Sexton. Big credit to John Eustace and the backroom team. It actually, possibly, maybe feels like Rangers of old. Not much money but attacking for fun. It's like watching Francis, Bowles and Thomas again. We finally have rediscovered our style of play.

MARK WARBURTON on 18:26 - Sep 21 with 3297 views | smegma | How dare he win four games on the trot ? How dare he win 3 away games before outfield players start wearing gloves ? As for the beautiful football we are playing , "can we not knock it " ?? Bring back Paul Hart.
