which Torchbeares did you play for? Torchbeares YCOB or Torchbearers YC both were independant of the other at least in the early 70's. The Youth club old boys (YCOB) was started by ex salvation army lads many still actively involved with the Sallies but with ring ins like me in fact most were ring ins just a core of sallies that ran the club like the Kay bros Lionel and Kenny, Grahame Holland, Kenny something? whos name escapes me now plus others, the YC team was a genuine salvation army youth club team run by the sallies i,e.
