Martin clunes at 9pm followed by Alan partridge at 9.30pm!!!! What next a gang of 4 soldiers of fortune on the run? A car that talks? A darts show with awful prizes?

Went down like a lead balloon.
It was quite predictable if you are a fan. Not sure many youngsters will be interested. Some funny bits but it's money for old rope for Coogan. The comedy of embarrassement and awkwardness has a shelf life.

Should a!ways quit when your ahead, needs to reinvent himself, as I've said disappointing, I'll give it another go, maybe it'll mature, not holding my breath on that showing.

Sorry Boiz.. I really liked it. Sidekick Simon didn't really work, but everything else was classic Partridge. Deserves a second watch, and infinitely better written than most of the tripe spunked out onto our screens these days.

Looking forward to AP, hope it's not a let down.
Alan Partridge goes right over my head. I can’t understand what it’s trying to be. Is it supposed to be funny? I pride myself on my sharp wit and sense of the ridiculous, but I find him totally and utterly unfunny. I’d only ever seen previews and snippets before and had decided it was weak and contrived and not worth the watch, but then i was hearing rave reviews and thought perhaps i’d Misjudged it. So last night I pledged to give it a chance and started watching it. I lasted 10 minutes and gave up. On radio 2 this afternoon, Steve Wright and co were raving about how hilarious it had been. Then I realised that the appeal of this ‘humour’ is to media types themselves. It’s a big in-joke. The trials and tribulations of presenting tv programmes chime with people who present radio and tv programmes. Sorry not a fan.

Last night's episode was much better, imho. Will probably stick with it, unless it nosedives.ðŸ‘

Episode 2 definitely picked up. He's not just insensitive and rude; he's pedantic and obsessed with knowing insignificant facts. I can relate to that.
Warren, on the other hand, is awful. I'll probably give Home a go. I like the idea of a comedy about Syrian illegal immigrants. I might try series 2 of Derry Girls also, though I wasn't enraptured by series 1.
