Three men have been charged after an attempted robbery in Rochdale on Saturday 23 June.
Dean Lack (23/02/1989) of Aragon Drive, Heywood and Luke Greenacre (30/01/1998) of Hewart Drive, Bury have been charged with attempted robbery.
Terrence Green (05/11/1993) of Great Howarth, Rochdale, has been charged with theft and is due to appear at Salford and Manchester City Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 26 June.
Lack and Greenacre appeared at Salford and Manchester City Magistrates’ Court on 25 June 2018.
Shortly after 4pm on Saturday 23 June, police were called to reports of a robbery on Edenfield Road in Rochdale.
Prior to police arrival, a 25-year-old was detained by members of the public and was taken to hospital for treatment of his minor injuries. [Post edited 26 Jun 2018 16:30]

That’s great to hear, although the thief will probably try and sue for assault knowing how things are these days!
I remember years back when I worked at kwiksave on cutgate, this bloke came in shoplifting, he had a history of it and was less than sane. He got caught and locked in the office. Police were called and he tried to smash a jar of Nescafé to use as a weapon, ironically it bounced off the floor (if I drop anything by accident it will break regardless) so we all jumped on him and about 5 of us held him until the police arrived.
As they took him to the van they said “he won’t bother you again, we will just boot it down edenfield rd and lock the breaks on” he then proceeded to get in the back with the prisoner for around 3 minutes and lots of bumps against metal were heard.
Not saying that’s right but 25 years ago things were very different for the police!!! | |
