Twitter folk don't know anymore than the rest of us. Strange how we are signing players with no manager though. Unless it's done and he has given the ok. [Post edited 3 Jun 2018 12:55]

Jordi Real Madrid on 12:53 - Jun 3 with 8224 views | jackjackjackjack | I'd rather we'd aim for a core of young UK and Ireland players. Look at Burnley's squad, very few overseas players, haven't spent a fortune on players, we could become the Burnley who play attractive football.

Jordi Real Madrid on 13:08 - Jun 3 with 8111 views | Badlands | http://the72.co.uk/104287/swansea-city-set-snap-real-madrid-defender/ Swansea City are set to sign Real Madrid’s Jordi according to a report from journalist Alan Nixon. The Swans were relegated from the Premier League this season and are now preparing for life back in the Sky Bet Championship. Recently appointed head coach Graham Potter is looking to strengthen the squad ahead of next season and is looking to get as much top quality talent as possible. And it appears that they are closing in on a coup as they near the signing of a Real Madrid player. Left back. Will join the Liverpool kid in the under 23s.

The 72 know something everybody else doesn't. Either that or fake article is fake. But agreed, unless Olsson is sold there's no way he's getting in the team to replace him.

Surely we just go back to a predominantly British-based squad with a sprinkling of Spaniards, to add a bit of flair and underpin the passing game. The Swansea Way would be back … job's a good one ;)

I prefer us to go for continental players in the main. i feel the coaching in this Country is still not up to par with the pass and move on the ball training you get overseas. The English game suits the Burnley style. I think we need to mix and match. For me this is exactly the type of player we should be going for. Not much chance of first team at RM and a player we can work on to promote our style of playing. The worry for me is who is making the decisions to sign these players? Hopefully Potter or whoever is coming here has input into this. If not I fear we could be wasting yet more time and money on a player that is unsuitable. [Post edited 3 Jun 2018 13:45]

The club is going to have to be vary careful what Foreign players they employ. My Son has looked at the Championship League Rules and they are much tighter than the Prem regarding numbers of foreigners both in the squad and played in each match. It also includes the fact that you must also play home grown U23s as well. Whether "home grown" includes players who have been with the club for a specified length of time I am not sure.

Cheers for that. Very interesting. I was not aware of the difference to the PL. Do we have any links to the rules and regs on who we can sign? At least we are all in the same boat together but I hope we will go for our full quota of continental players regardless.
