Who is the most famous person you have met? on 20:18 - Mar 5 with 3292 views | Garyjack | I suppose for me was Donald Curry (the cobra), the night he split Colin Jones nose apart. We were staying at the same hotel, and he invited us to his 'after fight party', real humble guy despite being described as the best pound for pound fighter in the world in the days of Hagler, Hearns Duran etc. Loads of well known boxers there who were up for a photo. Lloyd Honeygan, Henry Cooper, Mark Kayler and a few others. Asked Desmond Lynam for a pic and he flatly refused. VVanker!

There are honorary chaplains to the queen, and then there are actual chaplains of the Queen's Chapel just round the corner from the Savoy. Very handy for the American Bar! [Post edited 6 Mar 2018 20:21]

Who is the most famous person you have met? on 04:34 - Mar 6 by Kilkennyjack | Trump - what was he like ? |
It was a while ago, long before he got into politics, we were gifted front row seats at the David Tua v Leanox Lewis fight screened at the Trump Plaza in New Jersey. He was sat right behind me and was very loud and sociable. He tapped me on the shoulder and asked where I was from, he also spoke well of my boss at the time who was a good friend of his and had sorted out the tickets with him. We had an open bar and we were making good use of the generosity. He spoke a lot about Mike Tyson and said that he looked upon him like his son... He shared some funny moments/ suituations that he had had with my boss and seemed very knowledgable and humorous throughout... seriously... I can’t believe the bloke portrayed by the media is the same guy that I socialised for just over an hour with all those years ago... I know I’d had a few, but I thought he was very kind and generous and never spoke a bad word about anyone/anything, in fact he spoke very fondly of his love with Scotland and Scottish golf courses

Right, but it's not just a name. It is in fact the queen's private chapel, and has some sort of special and unique status within (/outside??) the C of E. And my mate was the private chaplain to the Queen, princess Margaret, etc.

Thre are persistent credible rumours Trump has been taking slimming pills since the late 80s, if you know what I mean. If he's been on whizz for 30 years it explains a lot. Except his far arse, obviously.

Outside. It's a Royal Peculiar. Princess Margaret went there regularly I believe. On a similar note, I don't know whether you ever knew or met a guy called Victor Stock? He was the Rector of St Mary-le-Bow (it of the Bow Bells), and was hilarious at lunch or dinner. One of the most entertaining men in London. He's retired now.

I’ve noticed through reading you posts over this past few years you seem to have made the acquaintance of quite a few high profile Churchmen, Lisa. I don’t mean to be overly nosy but are the C of E clients of your firm by any chance?

You can insert whatever pun you like here but it was bizarre encounter to say the least. In a footballing sense, definitely John Charles.
