Consistency doesn't mean scoring goals. Consistency means fulfilling your brief in your position or role. Scoring goals has never been the brief of a defensive midfielder, let alone Leon Britton. The playground football mentality some of our fans have is amazing at times, everything is based on goals. Freestone scored 3 for us too, doesn't mean he is a better keeper than Fabianski. |  |

There's a pretty big chasm between an absolute gem for us and our best ever player. |
Very difficult to compare swans footballers of the past with present day swans footballers.
Just as it is with any past and present sporting greats.

Fwiw i have mixed feelings re siggy as he was a fantastic player for us and will be tough to replace but he was a hard fit for the way that PC wants to play
He goes with my blessing and I hope he does well but not against us

Like many he is one of my fave swans of all time...throughout this season you could see on his face that he new how poor the squad was and he often bust a gut and take on the pressure to try get results!!
The fact is when he signed a new deal last summer as he was sold AMBITION by the board we then sold Ash and Ayew!....he was not going to make the same mistake this summer and tBH I really cant balme him.

Makes no difference. You keep changing your view, you said consistency yes? You have been told by a few now that Leon Britton has been more consistent than Siggy, so why on earth is it relevant where he played when he was 27?
Yes Leon has started 131 Premier League games according to the website I have looked at, a handful less than Gylfi. This is also relevant how? Or did you not realise he had started 131 games? [Post edited 16 Aug 2017 21:33]
