Hartlepool are on 43 points and Newport are on 45 points.
Hartlepool have a better goal difference.
So if Hartlepool lose or draw then Newport are safe.
If Hartlepool win then Newport will need to win aswel. A draw wouldn't be enough for Newport if Hartlepool were to win.

Or to quote Jason and Steve "Newport only have to get two more points from their last game to avoid that god damned relegation thing"

Depending on hartlepools result
But your right, who wants to rely on another teams result?

Alex Samuel's injury looked bad. If he's out next week I reckon County won't score. (Unless of course opponents Notts County are already on their holidays).

There will be two sold out football matches in South Wales tomorow at 5.30pm.

Newport County will have an attendance of over 7,500 at Rodney Parade against Notts County, more than double their biggest gate on of the season so far on Boxing Day against Portsmouth.

Fair play to my fellow Newportonains getting behind their side when most needed.

Meanwhile Cardiff's biggest crowd of the season was still some way off capacity.

Shame they didn't turn up earlier in the season been getting crowds of less than 3000.
Good luck to County though.

Some crowds were of 1,800.

Tomorrow goes to show there's appetite for football in the city though.

Newport County have done the unthinkable by dragging themselves out of the shite when they were dead and buried. A win tomorrow and they have survived the drop. Or they just need Hartlepool not to win their game against Doncaster.
County have picked themselves up when they got rid of their clown of a manager Westley, and then went out all guns blazing and they have won 7 of their last 11 games.
County and the Swans have both been through a rollercoaster of emotions this season.
Swans done something similar after they got rid of our last clown of a manager, picked themselves up and seemed to have dragged themselves out of the shite for a week or two and then seemed to have brought more grief upon themselves.

Tomorrow is Newport County's day.

Come on Newport

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Apparently there's a supporter who's flying in from California to watch his first game. He started supporting them a year ago. I wonder what he''ll make of the Newport night life.

Let's hope it's 3 points for Newport and 3 points for Swansea tomorrow and 0 for Hull and Hartlepool.

Be great for the 2 cities and Welsh football

Newport have had terrible crowds this season, I hope they stay up for their couple of thousand die-hards who have made the effort. The history books will show that Cardiff's biggest crowd of the season was the highest of all the Welsh clubs, regardless of capacity.

Second Time Around Record Shop-Tonypandy, RCT-Open Friday and Saturday. Valley Leaflets-Reliable Leaflet Distribution throughout South Wales.

I'm not sold on them mate.
Yes, I like them, but ..... I'm going to Cardiff purely to help out the legion. I like Marcus a lot.

Always loved them, just don't like that they've been roped in with the Oi lot. As for FL, used to like them a lot, even put them on a couple of times in the Rhondda, but they've released a lot of very average material over the last few years.

The hashtag was #FightTillTheEnd and they did, 89th minute winner when Hartlepool were winning which would have relegated them!

Well done to the County, Wales still has 3 league clubs!

Definitely the icing on the cake yesterday. Left the Liberty chuffed but gutted for Newport only to see the late goal save them.

Brilliant day for the two biggest clubs in Wales

The Jeff Stelling clips are fantastic when Newport scored.

Left a bad taste for me when he called out Dave Jones so this sweetened it up a bit.
