Is he really what we need? Think Andrew deserves to start upfront at the moment and could be a big player for us this season. Good player undeniably but think the wage could be better spent on a different type of striker.

Huge issues with his game when he arrived at Oakwell under Keith. He had awful technique, couldn't trap wind, poor at holding up the ball, and didn't graft. But give him a sniff inside or even just outside the box and he was lethal.
Keith got him to work hard, to press and had others doing the work to create him chances/space. He was absolutely flying in spells. But as we encountered January/February 2012 we lost Steele, Foster, Perkins, Drinkwater, Butterfield, Vaz Te and Gray. That crippled us and did nowt for Davies either, who succumbed soon after to injury.
In his second season he set off like a house on fire, but as rumours grew about his future, his form went out of the window and he played like the proverbial 'wantaway' player. Think he went a daft amount of games without scoring, Keith ended up sacked and Davies soon left once Flicker got the job.
His career has gone absolutely nowhere since.
