Is bury pay on the day yet? 12:15 - Mar 9 with 14868 views | dingdangblue | They've sold 500 tickets. The majority of them guessing that like EVERY other away ticket game this season it will be pay on the day. The stand holds 3500? Surely anyone with a slight bit of intelligence would have looked at past away figures and known there will be over 1000 empty seats. Is there really any need for bury fans being all ticket beforehand?

Is bury pay on the day yet? on 10:05 - Mar 10 with 2627 views | aleanddale | Well if the club don't change it soon ( unless they are unable to do so ) it will knock at least 500 off the gigglers attendance. £10 000 or so in revenue lost.

They usually wait till Thurs/Fri to announce the inevitable. "Due to the terrible response for tickets by bury fans the match is now pay on the day for all supporters" Something like that will do.

Is bury pay on the day yet? on 00:09 - Mar 10 by Nerazzurri | It was but we also took around about 2,800 the following year as well so 2 years running we took that many and we have taken 2,000 for 2 televised night matches too, although we were doing very well in the league in all those seasons. |

You would be well advised to change the all ticket thing if the online attitude of some of our lot is anything to go by. As you say, you may not care how many Bur fans turn up but it is all cash to the Dale coffers, unlike the FA Cup tie, so it is in Dale's interest. Although you can't possible offend our fans as much as our own board managed to around the Hull FA Cup tie. I think this is genuinely the least attractive Dale derby for the Bury fan in years - we are genuinely awful away from home, we have already been to Spotland and won once this season, good diet of recent Bury games as we have been at home 4 of our last 5 games (and taken 10 points from them, highlighting still further the contrast that we haven't scored twice in an away game since October), and both clubs are spiralling towards a mid table finish in a season that is likely to end in any meaningful sense well before the end of March. Add in we have only performed in a game with Dale once since Knill was in charge and no game twixt Hill and Flicker has brought more than one goal and it really is uncharacteristically unappetising. Although winning twice at Spotland in a season would be fun, as it was in 07/08 and 02/03.
Is bury pay on the day yet? on 11:13 - Mar 10 with 2524 views | Daley_Lama | This match should be played out as West Germany v Austria in the WC 1982. Bragging rights to whichever team wins are the right to sing "staying up, staying up, staying up" The 50 point derby, with a sub 4000 crowd the players on both sides may not be hyped up to rabid dog frenzy and the football might be more attractive than recent match ups.

Is bury pay on the day yet? on 11:26 - Mar 10 with 2501 views | aleanddale | The buckets apathy just shows that we at Dale are a cut above them when it comes to support. Pathetic if they bring less than 1000 for what is their cup final.

Is bury pay on the day yet? on 13:43 - Mar 10 with 2233 views | ceme_ender | To be fair, this is not a game that is going to attract many fans is it? Over Policed, over priced for an end of season dead rubber. Plus we have played you once at spotland already this season and brought 2500+ . I think one visit to rochdale a season is enough for most Bury Fans. Unless there was something riding on it then it would have been completely different. Bradford had around a thousand at gigg on saturday but get 18k at home. Can't say i blame them. It costs a minimum £40 to do most away games. People are not as keen to spend for such games as saturday.

1500+, doesn't matter. Not the point i'm making. Saturday is not that attractive of fixture. Maybe in league two when playing daggenham and barnet. But when in a league which contains so many local games. People will choose there games for financial reason. Rochdale away saturday or Blackpool on good friday. Which comes first?

The league table of unemployment? Yeah I admit you won't be caught for a long time on that front. Btw Dale and the police are talking about getting rid of the all-ticket today apparently. [Post edited 10 Mar 2016 14:40]

Nonsense. If you were flying high at the top of the table, financial reasons wouldn't come into it.

Yeh, off course. You'd find the money and not do something else. But you wouldn't prioritise Saturday over many things. We'll still have a decent following as our away support is good, but not even close to warrant any thoughts of all ticket.

I agree with you about the all ticket fiasco, but it seems your lot are finding the same convenient excuses not to come as they were accusing Dale fans of in October. You can't have it both ways.
