Final PL Table 2015/6 21:19 - Jan 19 with 4957 views | legoman | Just been here http://www.worldfootball.net/table_calculator/eng-premier-league/ and made some predictions for the remainder of the season. I didn't worry predicting scores, just outcomes so GD might have altered things a tad. However, I have Champions - Man City (79pts) Runners Up - Arsenal (78pts) 3rd place - Man U (72pts) Relegated 20th Villa (22pts) 19th Sunderland (26pts) 18th Bournemouth (30pts) Other notables Chelsea 7th (62pts) Leicester 4th (68pts) And Swans? 14th place with 41pts. Anyone else had a go? What do you get?

Final PL Table 2015/6 on 22:24 - Jan 19 with 3625 views | TheKirkyLife | Relegated: 20th Villa (16 pts) 19th Sunderland (26 pts) 18th Norwich (27 pts) Bournemouth finish 17th 4 points above the relegation zone with Swansea ending up 14th on 42 points. Chelsea fails to break the top half of the table in 11th on 49 points. In a fantastic second half of the season, Everton are able to secure Europa League qualification just 3 points ahead of bitter rivals LIverpool. As for the top four... 4th Tottenham (79 pts) 3rd Manchester City (81 pts) 2nd Leicester (84 pts) 1st Arsenal (84 pts) That's right folks, my prediction sees Arsenal win the title by a goal difference of 8!

Why? It's a load of crap! No one can honestly predict the outcome on every game from now until the end of the season Glyn. Anyway, why ask me for mine when you haven't done one yourself? My prediction is this tho. If we have employed a manager who is able to get our team playing with confidence and belief, then we will finish somewhere mid table. If not we will go down. Is that ok?

Man City would have to win 15 and draw 1 with 0 defeats from their last 16 games to finish with 89pts. You must be drunk!

Calm down tiger, as you've already been told - it's just a bit of fun and as you rightly pointed out nobody can predict the results of all games. A couple of new signings will change everything.

Why will it change everything? January signings rarely make any serious impact to any EPL club. Siggy did....I'm struggling to think of another though.....N'gog, Emnes, McEachran, Vangelis Moras etc etc. It's mad how people fall for this bullshiit that January signings change everything - media hype nonsense. It's almost completely a falsehood Man City signed Bony last year in Jan.....still didn't win the League....made sod all difference.

What I meant was I may have given us a few more points in my predictions. If you say it's going to make no difference then let's not bother signing any new players and see where our current squad finishes in the league.

I wasn't having a pop at you mate....just pointing out that the January window is bonkers and rarely makes a difference to where a team finishes. I actually agree with you that we DO need pace in the side through the middle and preferably a proven goalscorer- particularly in midfield where the lack of goals is chronic (Shelvey1, Ki 1, Leon, Cork, Grimes 0). But that's as much a long term issue. If you consider that we have only lost JJS from the side that performed very well after January last season it just shows that the issue is that our current squad is underperforming because we also now have Ayew, Eder etc. Yet our results have been crap. The right signing could obviously make a significant difference but I'd say it's extremely difficult to get that player in and simple to just buy someone who comes in and fails to help us at all (see the list above!)

Good explanation - spot on. Just feel that the right signing(s) will freshen things up and propel us quicker up that table and out of trouble.
