If he did go on to become president (God help the world). Would he still allow American Companies to broker deals when it comes to the Importing of Oil from Countries in the Middle East?
I read somewhere that some university in the States has good form for predicting the next president and has got it correct for many years and this time they have predicted Sanders.
I hope so... he's the only candidate at present I could see myself tossing a vote on.
I'm all for every reasonable step that has to be taken to combat terrorism, but this is an embarrassment and flies in the face of everything the USA is supposed to stand for. It's downright fascist in my opinion, and I don't use that term lightly.
But like I said earlier, I fear that one more major terrorist act in the USA might just get Trump elected.

Even Dick Chaney,a far right neo con warhawk, has come out and strongly condemned Trump, saying it goes against religious tolerance that the country was built on.
You can t tar everyone with the same brush...nutter exist right across the religious spectrum.

Honestly, coming as a US voter, there's a value to candidates like Trump. much like Sarah Pallin last go. where as long as they don't come within spitting distance of actually getting past the primaries they are fun and entertaining. they make you feel like "well it could always be a lot worse".

Seems like a decent guy with good character, but way too far from the center ideologically (the left in his case) for my taste.
I mean, fine, if someone is called Mohammad there's a fairly good chance they are a Moslem, but there are plenty of Moslems with non stereotypical names or who come from somewhere other than the Middle East or Pakistan!
Complete gesture politics to appeal to redneck morons.
Of course he's appealing to stupid people. It's a fine way to gain support and votes as stupid people are voters too and there are a lot of them, probably a majority.
However his fiendish plan will inevitably fall apart on polling day when stupid people can't find their way to the polling station as they are too p issed or too busy banging their head against a lamppost.
The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.
It always amuses me when politicians who defend the 2nd amendment so ferociously, are so happy to overlook the 1st.
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances."
Mind you, I did see an amusing quote over the weekend. A US commentator said that if 1st amendment rights are not curtailed by being prevented from saying the word "f*ck" on primetime TV, then 2nd amendment rights are not being curtailed if you have to reload after 6 bullets.

Anyone that believes Trump should be stopped from entering Britain for this should be stopped from breathing. I wonder how many left wingers have signed the petition? Thick c*nts.

If he comes I think we ought to insist he wears a cap, though. For decency's sake.

Imagine if the left spent as much time lambasting Islamic extremists as they do to people like Trump or Farage. Both will be an irrelevance in a few years but unfortunately extremism won't be.
I always find it interesting that the left demonstrate in massive numbers against the EDL or White Pride whenever there is a march because they hate 'extremists' but they are never seen demonstrating against islamic extremism.

"but they are never seen demonstrating against islamic extremism."
I think you will find that they actually do as a matter of fact. Keep believing what the Murdoch machine tells you as you clearly haven't been on a UAF march which rallies against all forms of extremism, be it against the far right or radical islamic extremism.

The journalist Andrew Gilligan has claimed that the UAF's reluctance to tackle Islamism is that several of its own members are supporters of such extremism. The UAF's vice-chairman, Azad Ali, has links to al-Qaeda and is also community affairs coordinator of the Islamic Forum of Europe, which Gilligan describes as "a Muslim supremacist group dedicated to changing 'the very infrastructure of society, its institutions, its culture, its political order and its creed from ignorance to Islam'".

Andrew Gillian you don't say?

Gilligan presented a fortnightly programme for Press TV, the Iranian government's English-language TV channel. Rod Liddle challenged Gilligan in July 2009 about working for an "international propaganda channel run by the Iranian government".[27] Gilligan stopped his regular show in December 2009, though he appeared twice more on the network just before the UK's May 2010 general election. Gilligan attributed his decision to leave to the politics of Iran "that was inconsistent with my opposition to Islamism. I have not worked for Press TV since."[28] Gilligan also stated that his work for Press TV consisted of a "regular discussion show on the station, in which Islamism, and the policies of the Iranian government, were often debated and challenged."[28] Press TV was later forced off air in the UK after regulator Ofcom revoked its license for breaching the Communications Act, the broadcaster was also fined £100,000 for apparently airing an interview with Maziar Buhari, an imprisoned Newsweek journalist that had been conducted under duress.[29]

Can you show us a single instance where that has happened, Ebo?
