I'm always happy to agree to disagree, Perch but if you think the old USSR represented "true socialism/communism" then I have to question if you know what that is. There's a difference between socialism and communism for a start. The old Soviet states were ruled by communist parties as is China still. As you have so rightly said in the past, "true" socialism/communism can't exist in practice because human nature doesn't allow it to. Ergo, by your own admission, the old USSR could not possibly have been "true" socialism/communism. Democratic socialism can and does though, not least in the UK in the recent past.
What you keep doing is mixing up dictatorships with socialism and communism. It's almost as if you think all dictators espouse their own version of these creeds. I'm sure I don't need to tell you that dictators come from all sides of the political spectrum. It's disingenuous to suggest, as you keep doing, that all dictators are of "the left" just as it would be disingenuous for me to suggest that all Tory voters are selfish tw*ts.

He is an appalling man, and should spend less time bullying others and more time bringing up the children he neglected for years, in order to maximise his career and income (since maximising income is fine for 'comedians' who spend vast amounts of their time criticising anyone else who tries to maximise their income). Bloody hypocrite.
