I think when building sides around players, reliability has to be a big factor. He's played in two pre-season friendlies and the reports from Barnsley about his attitude aren't good.

Just because Mellis doesn't score many, doesn't mean he's more defence minded.
Ludo and Grandin weren't exactly prolific and both there two of more attack minded players we had at the time.
