Hogan 21:03 - Jul 15 with 41270 views | macro | Reportedly dale have accepted a 750k offer from brentford. We'll see if true. This does come from a couple of twitter feeds. [Post edited 15 Jul 2014 21:13]

Hogan on 04:45 - Jul 16 with 4596 views | DiddyDave | Three quarters of a mill from Brentford for Hogan and I see Rotherham have had a bid of 600,000 turned down by Swindon for some Aussie bloke. Yep,both clubs are on the treadmill of financial madness now that they`re in the Championship and on crowds of around say 10,000,the status quo cannot be maintained, wages alone will see to that. That`s why Dale could never survive if they were to get another promotion, though we`d all like to think otherwise.

Hogan on 09:14 - Jul 16 with 4269 views | Albert_Whitehurst | Very well run club, Matthew Benham (owner) is doing a lot of good things down here. Plus he's pumped over £40 million into the club since 2012. Donaldson has moved on recently and Brentford have signed a forward/midfielder in Alan Judge, a striker in Andre Gray, a winger in Moses Odubajo (the winger for £1m), midfielder Marcos Ramiro and winger Stuart Dallas has extended his current deal. Hogan would need to work hard to get a starting berth as there's a fair bit of competition for attacking positions. Edit - Tommy Smith (striker) is currently on trial at Brentford. Hogan on 09:31 - Jul 16 with 4216 views | dingdangblue | I think its best now for everyones sake that Hogan makes the move he and his agent are obviously desperate for. Its not doing Hilly and the club any favours not being able to prepare for the season properly with our best goalscorer. Hogan didnt take part fully over in Tenerife spending a good few days with Andy Thorpe instead of the rest of the squad for whatever reason. Now back in England when he should be busting a gut to get fit for this season he plays 30mins with the kids last Saturday and then didnt even feature last night. Hilly cant be a happy man. It needs sorting now so we can get suitable replacements in. [Post edited 16 Jul 2014 9:42]

I think its more his agent than Hogan, if he desperately wanted to move he would have been playing for posh right now.

His agent clearly smells money with Hogan right now, bit of a cash cow, however it is up to Hogan to make the right decision for himself.

He obviously wants out, so why would he get rid of his agent who is doing his best to get him a move?

There has to be an element of trusting the players coming through. We're not a club where success is drafted in. There was widespread panic on here last year that after the sale of Grant that there wasn't enough goals in our squad and we were putting all of our faith into George and some lad from Hyde. But in the past twelve months, we've seen the likes of Hogan and Allen become stand out performers, and the likes of Bunney and Hery ready to develop in the same way. We've also go Camps and Tanser suggesting that there's more on the way.

Will be an enornmous loss if Hogan goes, but we have to get on with ROCHDALE FC.. Its not a one man team, Hilly will find a suitable replacement.. Infact I bet he has already got a number of players in mind.. Just like others waiting on Lundy to sign, agree we need a new CB..

Spot on. The only time I'd be happy with us spending money on a transfer fee would be where we've had a player on loan, he's fitted right in and the price was right. Step forward: COG Splashing out on an unproven youngster, non-league one-day wonder or lining the pockets of another league club on a gamble just doesn't seem right these days. Anyone who thinks that's what we should be doing is living in fantasy land. Having the money in the bank is useful in terms of being able to offer slightly more attractive terms (it's amazing how quickly an extra £500 a week per squad member would eat into £750k), or using it to secure good quality loan players. Totally agree, the club has invested in the youth for the last few years and now we are seeing the dividends of this. Allen, Diba-Musangu, Camps, Tanser and Cannon are all coming through. They wouldnt be in the first team squad if they werent deemed good enough. Camps especially looks like he has the quality to go on to be another Hogan if not better. Lets have a bit of trust in our home grown players. Hilly certainly does.
