Huw dismisses unsavoury stories about Laudrup 20:34 - Feb 5 with 7048 views | Pacemaker | Swansea City Chairman Huw Jenkins believes it’s vital everyone gets behind new Head Coach Garry Monk and moves on quickly from Michael Laudrup’s departure. “Everyone needs to move on; get behind us and focus on Saturday’s game,’’ declared Jenkins. “The fact is, Michael’s time with us has come to an end. But I have found some of the things being said about him today hard to stomach. Much of it has been extremely unsavoury and unnecessary. “Too many people have been trying to play the blame game and unearth disrespectful reasons behind his departure. “We were quite open and honest in our official statement, because that’s the way we are as a club. Since then we have tried to keep our own counsel on the matter because we have nothing bad to say about Michael. “He deserves respect for what he has done in the game and you couldn’t meet a more genuine and honest person. “It’s time to move on.’’ Read more at http://www.swanseacity.net/news/article/huw-laudrup-statement-1342386.aspx?#C2oA

Huw dismisses unsavoury stories about Laudrup on 21:13 - Feb 5 by WarwickHunt | Well, someone at the club has been leaking stories. I'll take this with half a ton of salt. |
Maybe chairman Jenkins has seen the error of his ways and is now repenting. Or maybe he is starting to worry that Team Laudrup is preparing to take a major dump on him in the Sunday papers, and wants to attempt damage limitation before Tutumulu gets on the blower.

Huw dismisses unsavoury stories about Laudrup on 21:03 - Feb 5 by monmouth | Who'd have thunk that for his game both teams would have rookie managers and be three points apart having both sacked their most successful gaffers. Hell of a game coming up. Hell of a game. Hope the old ticker will stand it. |
Hm. I'm actually out all day on Saturday in the back of beyond which might be a good thing; genuinely don't think I can bring myself to go through the emotions!

He should certainly be a role model for that fool up the road. And not just in a fashion sense.

Now that one didn't go over my head If any stories are true then they are fair game, anything made up just to print a story will probably end up being challenged in court. If he had refused to meet Ince I reckon Tommy's old man would say something! Ince senior is not known for keeping his mouth shut is he?

Danish newspaper HAD an article quoting a mail reply from Laudrup where they had asked him what it was all about. Laudrup didn't want to respond to any specifics while relying on the advice from LMA about what he can say and what he cannot say, but he said that the stories throwing dirt about him were 80-90% madeup stuff or distorted in such a way it was unreal. He made a comparison where he said it was as "if a guy had used panodils for 2 weeks, someone would call that guy a drugaddict on medication", in terms of how twisted some of the stories were . It certainly seems to align with Huws statement about being saddened about the vitriol in some of the stories people make up.

I think referring to the stories about ML not being arsed fecking off to paris given players days off not really caring about managing the team, the incident in Dubai that they apparently had been boozing off rather then training.

I eagerly await Bayram's response. Obviously Laudrup's not going to give it both barrels himself because that would jeopardise his carefully managed reputation as a stand up guy. That's why he gets Tutumlu to do it like he did last summer. Suspect that there's still quite a bit of dirt the club could dish if it felt the need.
| Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. |

There is a kind of morbid fascination in trying to work out what has happened, but I'd be surprised if the club could reveal very much real 'dirt'. I'm afraid that I wasn't convinced by the Ince and Chadli stories (Holtby perhaps). I've also noticed a steady flow of half truths and innuendos about ML leaked to the press from what can only be a club insider since the summer, so any revelations may very well cut both ways.

I honestly doubt the club has anything real on Laudrup, otherwise they would have leaked it months ago. In fact I strongly suspect the real source of the row was that Tutumulu simply told Jenkins that he doesn't know what he is doing, or words to that effect. You're obviously right that Tutumulu is the hatchet man though, and it'll certainly be interesting to see what sort of arsenal he has up his sleeve, now that Laudrup has broken cover with the LMA statement.
