The one who did the greatest damage after having the greatest opportunity was Meticulous Planning Hughes. Hope he gets fired from Stoke after we beat them next year.

worst manager in qprs history is on 11:05 - Jan 24 with 3305 views | Hayesender | Mullery by a country mile. He turned an absolutely brilliant team that could and should of challenged for the title, and turned them into a relegation threatened mess.

worst manager in qprs history is on 11:33 - Jan 24 with 3228 views | izlingtonhoop | Of course it's Mullery. But Wilkins for me would be leading the peloton behind. Never seemed to have a clue. Shame really, cos I enjoyed him as a player for us. Always been a bit annoyed with Sexton. For leaving! | | | | Login to get fewer ads
worst manager in qprs history is on 11:40 - Jan 24 with 3208 views | jonno | Most disatrous from a financial perspective was obviously Hughes. But from a playing point of view, taking a well set up team and ruining them it has to be Mullery.

worst manager in qprs history is on 11:57 - Jan 24 with 3162 views | isawqpratwcity | I find it hard to believe there will ever be a more credentialled, completely-indulged incompetent than the one-and-only, Mr Mark (dear-God-let-me-live-long-enough-to-p*ss-on-your-grave) Hughes.

worst manager in qprs history is on 11:59 - Jan 24 with 3159 views | davman | Not voting 'til Mullery is added - worst one by more than a mile. Hughes is the biggest **** of a manager we've had as he shows no remorse for what he did; it was never his, or his Taffia's fault. He got EVERYTHING he wanted and still couldn't deliver. Wouldn't waste my urine if he was on fire tbh. Wilkins wasn't as bad as some make out; his one chance of spending money when Les went was his failing; his first season wasn't that bad IIRC. Also Thompson wanted out by then, which wouldn't have helped. Houston and Hartford were plain amateurish when they were around and how Part ever got any football job is beyond me.

I agree with this. He took us from a long established mid-table top flight team to an average second tier team in the blink of an eye. Had it not been for our recent good fortune in terms of investment then we were on the road to be another Luton; and he started it.

The sort of thread designed to educate trolls about our past so they can pretend to be "one of us" when pushed on a few details of our history.
worst manager in qprs history is on 13:31 - Jan 24 with 2971 views | Monahoop | Houston.Drab person instigating the drabbest of football. Some think our style is bad now, blimey, you've seen nothing when compared to what was orchestrated by a Houston team. I gave up watching them after a while until he had gone. Certainly my number one vote here. Hart and Harford were equally as appalling, but thankfully didn't stick around too long. And Hughes?? In fact looking at my little lot, I would suggest that anyone who's surname begins with the letter H is bad news when it comes to managing the club. Docherty is the exception here. He appeared not to take anything seriously during his tenures at the club. .

worst manager in qprs history is on 13:57 - Jan 24 with 2931 views | R_from_afar | I didn't support Rangers - or anyone - before 2000 so I can't judge some of the managers from further back but for me, Hughes' combination of stunning arrogance, poor results - (so poor were we away from home that I felt I had a good case when I took to Twitter to offer to manage us for away games, on the basis that no one could do a worse job than Hughes because he simply could not get us to win away), and eye-wateringly profligate spending make him the king of the castle, a castle of pure, unadulterated excrement. Bit harsh. When he took over we were struggling badly, but he hauled our season back and took us to the quarter finals of the fa cup. Then he had to sell Ferdinand - and Wilson. He made plenty of mistakes with us - especially with the Les money, but he's not the worst. Pretty silly thread though - I'm with Brian on this one.
