Referee Mark Brown will continue his tour of Lancashire when he takes charge of our first-ever league game against Fleetwood Town on Saturday.
The Hull-based official has refereed Bury v Carlisle and Bolton v Bristol City over the course of the last week and will once again put his faith in the M62 as he travels to Spotland on this weekend.
Currently in his third season as a league referee, this will be Mark’s fourth visit to Spotland in that capacity.
We last saw him here in April for the 2-1 defeat to MK Dons and at the start of last term he was in charge of our goalless home draw with Carlisle.
In November 2010 Mark refereed Dale’s 3-3 home draw with Swindon, while the following March he was in the middle for the 2-0 win at Hartlepool.
So far this season he has refereed 10 games, showing 28 yellow cards and three red.
