Hatters keeper joins Bury on loan Thursday, 28th Oct 2010 14:37 Fellow League Two side Bury have signed keeper Owain Fon Williams on a one-month loan deal. The Welshman joins the high-flying Shakers as cover for current number one Cameron Belford, who is sidelined through injury. Fon Williams started the season as County's number one although he lost his place in the side at the start of September following the arrival of veteran stopper Matt Glennon. The former Wales Under 21 keeper has been bench warming ever since although he will get the chance of first team football at Gigg Lane over the coming month. The 23-year-old is out of contract in the summer and is certain to leave at the end of the season after being forced to play second fiddle to Glennon for the past two months, so his switch to Bury may put him in the shop window. Hopefully if he doesn't fit into County manager Paul Simpson's plans then he will be offloaded in January so that we are able to get a fee for him instead of letting him leave on a free transfer at the end of the season. County are due to face Bury at Gigg Lane on Saturday 17th November so hopefully an agreement is in place between the two clubs to prevent Owain from facing us on that day. Owain is set to make his Bury debut on Saturday when they face Aldershot. Photo: Action Images Please report offensive, libellous or inappropriate posts by using the links provided.
