Spurs Game Sold Out ! Ticket Exchange Open Thursday, 7th Mar 2019 11:29 With the final handful of tickets sold by late Thursday afternoon Saints have opened the ticket exchange to allow season ticket holders unable to attend the game to resell their tickets. It is a another sell out at St Mary's for the visit of Tottenham Hotspur, but for those who are going to make a last minute decision to go there is still a chance to get a ticket via the club's own ticket exchange. The ticket exchange is not as widely known as it perhaps should be, it is a simple process, when a game at St Mary's is sold out it enables season ticket holders who are unable to sell their tickets to put their seats for sale via the ticket exchange system on the club's official website. The club will then try and resell the ticket at face value and then credit the value of the ticket pro rata of the season ticket rate per game to the season ticket holders account to be used against future purchase next season. That means that a season ticket holder can get some money back if for whatever reason he is unable to attend a game, it is not a perfect system, but it is better than the one before when a season ticket holder unable to go had to pay for a game they didn't attend. It is a bit hit and miss for those buying tickets as you are reliant on getting on there at the right moment, at one minute there can be 50 tickets for sale, but then they can be completely snapped up giving the impression that there are no tickets for sale. So if you are planning on buying a ticket in the next couple of days before the game then you need to be patient and keep logging on, usually up till the day of the game you will get a ticket. There will not be many available leading up to kick off as there will be a walk up to the ticket office, so Friday to early Saturday morning is probably the cut off when there won't be many available.
