*BUMP*
Can now confirm this is being enforced, ÂŁ65 lighter.

At least it wasn't the other halfs car, as that is leased and fines take so long to get to us they are always the full amount with an "admin" charge.

Can't say I wasn't warned, although the signs are tiny

I just got my ÂŁ65 PCN as well!

The signage is tiny, I had no clue this was in force, as I hadn't driven that way for a while...

I thought Zamora had earnt another year after THAT playoff final.
I remember him chanting "Four more years" after the game on the 'Four Year Plan'

I don't think an extended contract was warranted, but bearing in mind he used to get cortizone injections before ea game just to make it through. In the same era as players like Routledge, who didn't fancy it cos my legs ache from yesterday....

A lot of time for Bobby, a bit like Frey, in that his contribution shouldn't really be measured by goals alone

The commentators must have been really confused who they supported in that one.

Was it SKY Leeds Utd (sponsored by SKY) or Frank Lampards high performing Coventry City?

No, its usually League 1 Derby, or League 1 Birmingham by the time the old boys club have finished with them...

Can't wait for one of them to get hold of Chelsea

No problem at all with signing on long terms for three young players with limited Championship experience. I doubt any of those are top earners at the club and would have been restrictive to the budget had we got relegated into L1.

This is a great example of the business model the club is aiming for and giving out long contracts to players with no re-sale value is what we are trying to move away from.

--I like JD, I think he is a good player, but if we didn't want to sign a long term deal last season, then the club has to sell him now, rather than let him run his contract down and walk away on a free, even if its just as a message to the other players

Remember earlier this year when we were bottom of the table, would signing JD till he was 30+ seemed like a good idea then?

I'd say players like Macca, who play most of their football at one club, are like hens teeth.
Most footballers will be more than happy to move sideways, or lower, if it meant a pay rise.

A lot of them don't even care if the move means they might sit on the bench.

I think footballers are just like most of us and inherently selfish. Maybe some are better at kissing the badge etc?

This is my problem.
Why is it OK for JD or Charlie Austin to leave on frees, but not Manning or Bright Osai?

Just better PR?

Do you reckon he's bothered about dogsh!t or jumping from ÂŁ10k a week to ÂŁ20k, excluding any signing on fee and re-location costs?

The only good player I recall being happy to see leave was Sir Les, who had more than done enough for QPR and deserved to go to the next level, maybe even a year earlier.

If JD moved to Sheff, its not to progress as a player, its just for money, which makes him more like Manning in my book

3rd runway at heathrow

This was approved in '21 under the last government.
The only "news" is that this government are not going to try and stop the 3rd runway being built

Agreed, although I think most CEO's are psychopaths

Nourry seems to be atypical of modern business, he is an expert in the parlance with a confidence far exceeding his experience.

I think he missed some low hanging fruit by not conceding on the recent injury news to us plebs, instead spinning that there was nothing to tell us before.

It would be a real shame if JD left for below value, but that has been happening at QPR for a long time and is probably more an example of how football is, rather than just our club

I get it, but given how many signings were made last summer (12?)
two or three duds is still a very high success rate.

No-one really knows what was paid out, but I think Madsen and Celar had the biggest fees attached, but even so, they were relatively "cheap" for the championship

I reckon the good business with Varane, Morgan and Kolli is outweighing the risks at the moment.

Providing that the club does start to cash in on its talent and sell when their stock is high.

It would be a lot easier to do this if we were 16th, not going up or down, but with the team just outside the playoffs and the home stretch in sight there is a temptation to keep the band together and give it a shot.

Who'd be a CEO, eh?

Its not really Nourry's fault if this happens is it?

Same as with the Kolli situation, the club should have offered a fail deal, that reflects what the player is worth, what we can afford against the cost of replacing them in the current market.

If Jimmy leaves its either because he won't sign the new deal, so the club has to accept any offer, or the player themselves fancies more money, or the chance to play at a higher level.

It's strange how some players are given a pass by the fans when this happens.
Charlie Austin vs Manning for example
