I’m ashamed to say that it should have been 262. Having arranged travel back to Blighty for the Carlisle game, I managed to get a ticket for the Etihad at the 11th hour and being a nerdy saddo, the chance of ticking that one off was too great (I think it’s because I never collected football cards when I was a kid). Part-time supporter, I've no defence, guilty as charged.
One eye on the BBC Sport live text for the U’s and the other eye watching City’s new signing Marmoush score a blinding hattrick in less than 14 minutes, I’ve never seen anyone more clinical in front of goal.
I don’t know what anyone sees in Sparky, he must be the most uninspiring manager to ever trouble English football, I would be gutted if he ever managed us.
Another clean sheet will do nicely, we don’t want to win every week, because we know what happened to Parky, Burley and Lamberk when they kept winning. Sneaking back via Wembley will do just fine.
Maybe some on here were too harsh on Frankie, if this continues, his ‘Chuckle Brothers’ will have us laughing all the way back to L1.
As for problems with iFollow mentioned on a different thread, I don’t remember having any trouble watching 3pm league KO’s. I watched the Walsall game OK. You might have trouble if you use a UK phone abroad, but a foreign computer, ipad, phone etc should be OK outside of the UK. Unless things have changed recently, DG must be confused.
....and not forgetting the 2018 Oscar nomination FFS.
When did it become the norm that you can be a prize C@#T, but it's OK as long as you say you are sorry (only if you get caught), and if you can throw in a few crocodile tears all the better.
Best of all, be the victim like poor old Steve, make it all about your metal health, Joe Public's gullible enough to suck it up..
.....I almost forgot, you can be a woman footballer and call a policeman 'white and stupid' and it's OK with your club, because, allegedly, you can only be racist if you are white!
EDIT: in fairness this is the same club that stood by John Terry, so it's not fair to accuse them of taking sides.
Well you would hope so and he may well have done, but in 21st century Britain you can do what you like, there’s very little long-term comeback.
You can make videos about kicking cats, you can make racist derogatory sex tapes, you can get pissed and kill someone with your car then do a runner, you can rough up your girlfriend, you can be a top horseracing trainer and have pictures taken of you sitting on a dead horse like it’s a chair, you can be a drugs cheat and get an Olympic medal a few years later.
The scroats that perpetrate these acts are not the real problem, it’s the ‘they deserve a second chance’ brigade that make it acceptable, teaching youngsters that being an arsehole is fine in the long run.
Why do they deserve a second chance? Most of us don’t get one chance to be a professional footballer. The only reason they get a second chance is ££££££££, somebody somewhere doesn’t give a shit about decency and they will employ anyone at the right price. Why don't we start giving teachers a second chance if they sleep with pupils, police officers a second chance if they pinch something, doctors a second chance if they touch up a patient. Their careers are all ruined by making one mistake, and rightly so.
Women are treated worse in the UK today than they were in the 70’s and that’s saying something. Young lads are brainwashed by a section of the porn industry into thinking that treating women like dirt is normal. Employing the likes of TH just condones that viewpoint.
I don’t profess to be perfect, but if I make mistakes, I expect to pay for them.
As a separate point, how thick do you have to be, to film yourself having to pay for sex, when most of us get it for free, then you send it to your mates thinking you are being clever, but they sell it to the papers and……… here’s the best bit, the person paying your wages and for you to go on a pre-season jolly is Thai, so just for good measure, you include in the video derogatory reference to $1it @yes.
As thick as pig shit doesn’t come close to these tvvats, we need a new expression.
Yes, he can run around a lot, but as long as he’s got a hole in his @r#e he will never be more that a second-rate footballer. At least he’s got the rest of his life to prove he’s better at being a human being, although he’s got some way to go on that score. I hope the knocking-shops of Sarfend give him everything he deserves in large doses.
Anyone feeling sorry for him should Google “mirror leicester city racist orgy” and read the full article…………
"In another clip Hopper, 21, cruelly tells one of the women she is “f***ing minging… an absolute one out of 10”."
That’s ironic, because it’s a perfect description of him in front of goal.
TH proving that beauty really is in the eye of the beholder….. ….and in the words of Melissa McCarthy, Tom “do you own a f’ing mirror?
A lot of Southend fans are gutted about this (as we were with JT).
I think it's time the FA/EFL brought in a rule that if you loan out a player for a season, you cannot then loan them to someone else.
Fair enough if you need them to cover for injuries, but if some club has been prepared to take them on a years loan and give them game time to improve them, you shouldn't be able to rip up that deal and cash in on the improvement.
Equality Act 2010: The Act makes it unlawful to discriminate against someone on the grounds of any of these characteristics: age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion/belief, sex (gender), and sexual orientation.
(Unless you're a tax paying, beer drinking, able-bodied male).
We want the same......... ......when it suits us. As far as I'm aware the Act doesn't allow you to start making things up because men and women act differently. That is the whole point of the Act!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nikki Doucet said "I think our fan base and the behaviour is different (to the men's game)”.
You’re right there, with just your fans, women’s football would hardly exist. ‘Fans’ of the men’s game have paid for the development, facilities etc. of your game, so I wouldn’t get too trappy and start driving wedges between the two if I was you.
I can't see Mitchell marrying a Rimmer (phnaar phnaar) at Blenheim Palace anytime soon.
It just shows what teams in the National League are up against and why we must turn our fourtunes around now, while we have a chance. If we go down we wouldn't have a cat in hells chance of coming back up under RC.
How can we look so tired and disinterested? We’ve just had 3 out of 4 games at home and an extra day to recover before Christmas. While Stanley have been travelling up and down the country and should have been more interested in saving themselves for Anfield next week. It's all a bit worrying.
The penalty? Was it given for a foul or for Colchester bringing the game into disrepute by being so utterly shit at defending.
Whalley is 37, but up against Flanagan he looks like a gazelle that's escaped from Colchester Zoo.
At 6:59 DC looks to the skys as if to say "Oh Lord please make this stop" I think it was just a coinsidence that NC was on the gantry.
Yes that's him, still in short trousers when Lyle turned professional.
Anyone under the age of 50 is still a boy as far as I'm concerned (unless they're a girl, .....errrr.....or on the fence - time to stop digging me thinks).
Richardson, Anderson, Harbottle (aka dirty ####), and Alistair Smith came in on loan and it's fair to say they didn't set the world alight, but at the risk of sounding a bit 'frankie' DC didn't exactly work wonders with the rest of the squad, so I don't know if it's fair to blame the players, two of whom are now regulars with high flying Wimbledon (along with Goodman).
I believe he was and bizarrely, not only the fee, but also the length of contract was undisclosed.
Just to clarrify my earlier post, two and a half years is the minimum that Carlisle have given out, they've signed a 25 year old midfielder on a three and a half year deal and presumably if they want the wonder boy from Altrincham, he will want the same. They are obviously paying good money if they are securing their targets this early in the window.
If it comes to it, I don't think we can rely on them being one of two teams worse than us.
