Their problem is that most of the UK Press is right wing Tory owned. They'll be reminding the nation of every issue for the next 5 years. If even a single pensioner dies due to the cold weather, it'll be splashed across the papers for months. A Tory government gets away with a lot more than a Labour one. |

They barely won anymore votes than they did under Corbyn. They only won because Reform split the Tory vote, which after 14 years of poor Tory rule is quite some under achievement, yet Starmer and Co act as though they sailed in on a wave of Socialist fervor. Why did they feel the need to close a supposed £20bn fiscal gap in 12 months? They have 5 years, they could have chipped away at it. Instead, they have lost support from all corners within 4 months. There was talk of the end of the Tories before the election. The way things are going it will be the end of Labour after this time |
| Forum Reply | Would you go all out for Conner Roberts free in the summer? at 14:05 16 Nov 2024
Absolutely not!! Resigning aging ex-players is not the route a successful club wants to go down. The real "Swansea way" is to get all giddy over the idea of signing a 30 something year old that used to play for us. Ideally one from the area. See Andre Ayew, Will Bony, Joe Allen, Lee Trundle etc etc |

I thought Bradley just needed a bit more time. He didn't get 2 full seasons or go on a 26 game run without a win |

It does seem pointless without the major contributors, but if you don't try then you won't get anywhere. Some say it's all a hoax, maybe it is, but trying to get more crap out of the air and clean up rubbish from the seas has to be a good thing |

A half season ticket would be a decent idea at this point. I know a few who were regulars but didn't want to come back under Levein as they'd lost hope. A change of ownership and a little bit of money in January and there could be a fair few coming back |

If Trump loses what does he do?? He faces a very real threat of spending the rest of his days behind bars. It went badly enough last time. This time he has nothing to lose and they've spent months paving the way to claim a rigged vote |

And how would you know that? No one knows at this stage |

A player who mostly warms the bench in League 2. Managed 6 in 33 in the conference, mostly from the bench. That really is the next level. Probably next 2 levels, down |

If this is to make the club look financially secure to potential investors, then they must be looking very short term. Losing 2 of your most valuable assets for free and then needing to make expensive investments to replace them, won't give the indication of a well run club. |

Thus is the same MP who was calling for sentences of over 10 years for anyone caught up in the riots. On that basis he should be looking at 10 years himself. Two Tier Kier will probably see him let off with a caution |

We moved out the 2 strikers to make way for signings. Then didn't buy a striker. We bought Eom and Franco, who have been good. Plus, reportedly a lot of money for Bianchinni a 3rd tier French winger. If the clear out was to balance the books, then why take a big risk on a player in a position that has already been strengthened |

Williams looks completely lost. Yesterday we started with 2 strikers, a right winger and an attacking midfielder on the left wing. We ended with 2 wingers and 2 CAM and no striker when we were 0-0 at home and then ended up losing. We have pace out wide but neither pace nor physicality in the middle. Neither winger is great in front of goal either. It looks like a team made up from a bunch of different ideas none of which work together |

I don't imagine this is the squad that he wanted by wouldn't he want to see what he is going to have before allowing them both to leave. The two of them freed up space in the budget for what? Bianchinni and Vipotnik. £2M on a player who had been in the French 3rd tier and scored 5 all season. Someone at the club recruitment is seriously failing in their duties. I just can't see that Williams has no involvement in it at all |
| Forum Reply | Vigouroux error and again the Swans fail to score at 07:35 27 Oct 2024
Having only 2 strikers has to be his fault to some extent. We spent £4M on two strikers in 2023, now both of those are out on loan. They were both sent out before we brought in Vipotnik on a free. Arguably, neither if them coukd be doing any worse. If he has no say in these decisions then it would make his position untenable. As a football manager, one good season can set you up for life. A bad season and you may never be heard from again. If Williams has so little say that they ship out all of his strikers against his wishes, then he'd have been better off walking away |

At the moment, I don't know why we font resign Bony. It's not like he needs to be fast, just a physical presence in the box who can hit the target |

479 passes against 187, 72% possession and not once were we offside!! Either we are really good at timing runs or we make no effort to get in behind their defence and instead slowly walk forward. |

We haven't had a really successful outfield loan for a few years. Clubs maybe reluctant to send their top players here at the moment. Also, my understanding was that this season we would look to buy players rather than loan in players in key areas. It's a good idea in theory, but where we have clear gaps they should have been filled with loans. However, I would assume that the best ones are very much in demand and you have to be quick to get a deal in place. We obviously had permanent targets, failed to complete those deals and then by the time it was clear that we weren't going yo get those deals completed, we are left scrambling around for what is left in terms of loans. We do best when a manager has good contacts and speaks to the players he wants well in advance. Rather than some plans based around scouting players and being just one of many clubs trying for the same ones. Geographically we are at a disadvantage. We tend to need a personal relationship with the best players in order to get them interested |

Our use of the loan market has been very poor again this season. There is sense in not building the whole team around loans, but we've brought in loan players who aren't good enough to feature at all. |
