"Life on local newspapers could be a hard slog................" I almost spat my coffee out when I got to the end of this paragraph and the line "In that spirit, I bring you the news that Jake Clarke-Salter has injured his calf, and will be out for “some timeâ€. " |

For all the failings on the pitch in the last 3 months, the big worry for me is what is going on behind the scenes. In he same 3 months, we seem to have gone from a seemingly, well run club with a plan to a bat-5hit crazy club with no direction and no plan AGAIN! |

Thought we looked ok in parts particularly in the 1st half, if one of those chances had gone in, who knows. A lot better than the last game I went to (Barnsley away). Great support from the Rangers fans for Murphy Mahoney right from when he came out ahead of the rest of the team to have a quick extra warm up. Just hope we don't get any more injuries ahead of the Huddersfield game on Friday - could really do with a win! |

I thought Downes could have got a 2nd yellow earlier, when he grabbed Willock as he ran past - an obvious free kick and booking for me, but the ref didn't even give us a free kick. I wonder sometimes, if the ref see's who commits a foul and knows that he really should issue another card, but decides to let it go. Downes also had a go at Austin after Austin had fouled Manning |

" The performances bar one or two have been dreadful, the quality of the play itself is quite painful to watch, the high-octane stuff served up by Ismael’s Barnsley has not been replicated yet,...." I thought Barnsley's high-octane approach from last year was painful to watch anyway and that a big part of it working was the 5 sub rule |

" I still think we should just be enjoying this team, this style of play, being back at the football after the pandemic, being a genuinely competitive threat in this league again, after so many drab years, rather than getting ourselves hung up on some play-off push " - totally agree with this, let's just enjoy it and see where it takes us |

I did wonder if the Geoff Cameron fact was going to be that he liked a glass of red wine after a match....... :-) |

The section 'Somewhere in a parallel universe we were all there with him.......' perfectly encapsulates the joy of watching your team win away in the flesh. Can't wait for the next time I can experience that feeling again - Preston away from last year seems a lifetime ago! |

Agree with all of your points - January is very important in terms of both results and additions to the team |

I think on the away kits, we haven't done a proper Dennis kit since the playoff win, so it is about time they did another one. Hopefully, they will look at the results of the recent away kit world cup for ideas - would love a red shirt, black shorts kit like the cup final kit. Thanks Clive for the summary. |
