No sign of JCS, wasn't he supposed to be available...? Don't say he's had another injury in training...

The guy that Hoopsa had on, whilst slightly more bullish, also identified the back four as a weakness, and in particular their left-back. Could be a big evening for in-form Smyth...

Kolli on today's win

Definitely, starting to see the player quite a few posters on here were talking about, looks a real talent and a great lad. Exciting times. Seems to have a real instinct for getting his shot away.

I enjoyed seeing Frey out of the dugout celebrating Kolli's goal, given that he'd been subbed off following two big chances himself.

Looked a great finish, much harder than the chances we didn't put away before and after!

Also insisting on calling Chair SHAY-air, which may be correct I guess but confuses me every time

Love that clip. Used evocatively by Nicolaas Jaar in his BBC mix

Yeah definitely a through line from The Witch to Egger's take on Nosferatu, in tone and theme of female identity / agency

Memories of Murder is excellent. I wasn't crazy about The Host tbh. Snowpiercer definitely worth checking out. And Parasite obviously, but I'm guessing you'll have seen that !

The Faculty was one of my favourite films as a kid, caught it on TV a while ago and still stands up.

The Handmaiden is another Korean film worth checking out, by Park Chan-Wook. Twisty as hell, gorgeous to look at, loads of sex.

Missed the Leicester game because I was watching something equally macabre. Went to the cinema to see Nosferatu. Magnificent. Eggers is some film maker. The cinematography is sublime. And the performance from Depp is superb, really sells it. Don't think I've seen her in anything else but I'll be keeping an eye out for her

There were some nice shots for sure. Maybe I wasn't in the right mood for it, it just didn't grab me for some reason

Yes! My wife picked this and i also expected it to be frothy nonsense but ended up loving it. It's from Margot Robbie's Lucky Chap production company, which also made Saltburn, and Promising Young Woman. Real surprise hit for me, found the ending genuinely moving

Re Nosferatu, really looking forward to seeing this

+1 for Anatomy of a Fall, excellent film

Most the films I've watched recently are on the horror film thread!

Edit. Watched The Conclave last week, found it really dull and didn't finish it. Watched Kneecap a while ago, fictionalized origin story of the Irish hip hop group of the same name. Madcap, entertaining, and the band members playing themselves are surprisingly good! I enjoyed it a lot, and the music is ace.

Edit again: recently watched Things Will Be Different. Low budget time loop thing. Bit niche, but it was my jam. Interesting take on the genre, with some original ideas and nice twists

Definitely want Martì to go for this one, keep momentum going. That said I'd give Morgan a rest on the bench, and give Edwards a start.

--------------------------Frey
Chair - Dylan the stoned rabbit - Smyth
-------------------Field - Varane
Paal - Edwards - King Dunne - Ashby
-----------------------Nardi
