| News Comment | New season, new boss, but same old same old for QPR at Preston - Report at 09:44:10
We will be in the bottom 3 in terms of championship wages this season alongside Rotherham and Preston. In 16/17 Rotherham posted 9m and Preston 13m. We will post circa 15m for 18/19. Which will place us firmly in the bottom 3 for wages. So it is completely untrue that Preston are “operating on a fraction of our budget†and completely ignores the fantastic cost cutting measures achieved by the club. |

Clive, nice summary of the facts. One small but major fact is that we won’t sail close to 39m in cumulative losses - that would equate to 13m per season - the maximum annual loss allowance. As you wrote, season 1 = 11m loss, season 2 = 7m loss, season three can only be 13m max, otherwise we have breached. So the maximum cumulative loss we will post, to be inside of 3-year rules, is 11 + 7 + 13 (max) = 33m. The next set of accounts that everywhere is so worried about, is inside of 13m, even allowing for the drop off in parachute payments. |

Good report, but don't agree with Morrison comments. "Meaningless games and a couple of goals season 13/14...". He was instrumental to us going up, scoring 6 goals when Austin was injured. Agree though that Manning is class and was MoM |
