Absolutely agree. Was watching the run in highlights from last season on player the other night and they really illustrate what a huge role Mackie played in our survival - goals, assists etc. I would be gutted if we lost him, irrespective of the new signings i think he has a big part to play next season, hopefully Hughes feels the same.

Don't worry about Mackie. Based on last season, he'll just look at his competition, shrug, and try harder. We'll benefit.
But without trying to sound spoilt, in defence we've just replaced Taiwo with Fabio on loan, and then added Nelsen for Hall. While Nelsen is about 500% the player, with the best will in the world he isn't going to be a regular (although even at 34 won't be injured as much).
Would love to hear of one or two hard b**tards coming in now to ramp up that back line.
