Celarbrace drags QPR’s team, fans and striker back from the brink – Report on 22:23 - Nov 28 with 2886 views | BristolR | Great report Clive. I was right behind both goals and could barely believe what I was seeing. The first was in terrifying slo-mo, the second I completely expected him to spaff against the keeper and when that didn’t happen, I assumed it had gone over. What fun!! A stairs goal if you will! Great support from start to finish and love the ‘Celar again’ song. The Paul Nardi song is also growing on me………dontchaaaaaa [Post edited 28 Nov 22:24]

Let's hope it's not another 3 months until we get another one. Of course it won't be because Celar will now get a hatrick at Watford and we'll wonder what the f@ck is going on?

Fantastic report, thanks Clive. The rarity of a win makes it even more eagerly anticipated. For those not there, what are the new Celar and Nardi songs? Always think we need a hymn sheet....I've been to loads of games and still have no idea of the words to the Paal song.
Celarbrace drags QPR’s team, fans and striker back from the brink – Report on 08:25 - Nov 29 with 1567 views | thehat | Brilliant report Clive (as always) absolutely spot on. Agree we won't get far playing like that and Cardiff were woeful. But you can only beat what's in front of you and the 3 points keeps us in the pack. I'm expecting a bit of a tonking at Watford Saturday but have high hopes for our next home game against Norwich. We must beat someone at home soon even if it's by accident. Buzzing for the fans that made that trip on a cold November evening - I salute each and every one of you.
Celarbrace drags QPR’s team, fans and striker back from the brink – Report on 08:49 - Nov 29 with 1457 views | Beckenhamhoop | I’m glad you tempered the adrenaline surge of a win by describing this as a brief respite. That first half was SO appallingly low in quality, added to all the other atrocious performances from us this year that I actually couldn’t think of a worse team I’d seen in my near 50 years of supporting QPR. Now that a couple of days have passed and I won’t be described as a party pooper I can pose the question - is this indeed the worst QPR team of the last 50 years?

Sorry, should have explained ( I don’t get to many games myself so thought maybe this was a regular song) The Nardi one is to the tune of “Don Cha” by *checks the internet* The Pussycat Dolls, it says here. “Don’t you want a keeper like Paul Nardi Dontchaaaaaaa” Rather amusing. The other one obviously not sung before but I believe caught on the post match celebration vid, one of these trendy continental (ie Palace) chants Celar again again agaiinnnn Clear again again againnnnn Celar again Clear again etc

Not now bruv, give us these 3 days at least! Unfortunately there may be be plenty of opportunity for such musings in the weeks/months to come. Clive, you're a genius. I genuinely can't fathom how you produce such work two or even four times a week. The way in which you capture the joy, hope, anger, ecstasy, depression, anticipation, heart break, defeat, confusion, delight and most importantly the love of being a QPR fan is absolutely brilliant. Add to that your very artful and extremely moving weaving in of your own history and stories takes it all to another level. Best football writing on the planet. Thank you. [Post edited 29 Nov 9:06]

This was exactly how it felt. The goal wasn't met with the usual Andy Sinton type shout or celebration, it was more of a "huh, what?" No idea how you manage to paint these pictures or define feelings with words, but well done as always. Fantastic writing.

Not if you watched Brett Angel or Richard Oacquette as your strikers.

Ok, I'll take the bait. The squad that went down in 2000/01 was, player for player, worse than this imho. I'm not for a second saying the current mob won't suffer the same fate, it's a distinct possibility.

2000/01 was truly the worst team I've ever seen at Rangers Would also add 97/98 especially from January onwards . Still think one of the lowest days was Stockport away in January 98 when Dowie , Rowlands and Breaker all made their debuts in a shocking 2-0 defeat in front of about 700 Rangers on a cold open terrace . Same day Sinclair made his debut for West Ham where he scored 2 . [Post edited 29 Nov 12:00]
