It was probably Matt Grimes, Kyle Naughton, Liam Cullen and of course the manager.

I mention them because they were subject of your poison last night against a side who have a very good home record, hope this helps.

I would imagine the medical team assessed the illness and considered the risk against the other CBs we have.

Indeed,I would have thought that the case . However,do you not see my concern that a player selected to start when “ ill” If he’s had a stomach bug then no way should he have started

If the medical team considered he was worth playing who are you and I to argue, unless you are better qualified. Personally I think it was the second challenge to his kidneys which were the deciding factor to bring him off. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Darling on 11:41 - Nov 28 with 707 views | Boundy | We seem to accept in the professional world of football that if a player says he's carrying a niggle or not in the right frame of mind to play then its accepted , I would imagine although I'm guessing Darling knew he himself wasn't 100% right but decided to make himself available .Maybe the Manager also knew but in agreement thought he was risk worth taking, the pairing of Ben and Harry has been a success far this season so why disturb the natural order if you can get away with it.

Well, he was also tackled badly a minute before that. If it is an illness as believed maybe that was the final knock his body could take. Either way Nelson Abbey a proper centre back didn’t get a game as a result and Williams went with Christie. If Harry is out on Saturday, what’s the chances he will do that again ?

I think in recovering from illness we are all familiar with feeling fine and then as the game passes you feel that you have run out of energy. Better to come off at that stage than over extend yourself and be out for 10 days. [Post edited 28 Nov 18:32]
