We're just circling the drain, aren't we? 17:23 - Oct 19 with 6022 viewstheselector

New managers, new players and none of it seems to ever make much difference. We're still shit and it's only a matter of time before we go down again. Just wondering if any other supporters can see this changing, and if so, how?

Even the points we have come from a lucky win v Luton, equally lucky draws v Wednesday, Wall and Sheffield Utd and failing to win an absolute gimme v ten man Plymouth.

Worrying times indeed.

Lucky win against Luton? No, we played them off the park second half and should have scored more.

If you had told me driving back from that game that by mid October we would be bottom of the league, I would have of course believed you because it is QPR, but I would have assumed that Marti had been poached or something.

It has been, even by our standards, an extraordinary decline, and I for one, am baffled.

But, I'm behind the manager. I trust him to turn it around. Nourry on the other hand, I do not trust.

For me it was a lucky win, 2 worse instances of defending you are unlikely to see again this season, unfortunately,

Decent move for the 2nd goal and a LB AWOL but very poor in 1st Half and not much better in the 2nd.

We haven't had a joined up attack since Cifuentes arrived and still don't.

Worse than Fox yesterday? Twice.

Scooters, Tunes, Trainers and QPR.

Err yes, forgot about those,

Althou Fox letting ball bounce for the first was similar but not as bad as Luton's Centre Half,

And I honestley yelped just before Fox eventually swung his left leg for the penalty as was just taking too long to clear the ball,

Was'nt match fit and his timing was way out yesterday, took too long too often and was odds on to get caught.

The recruitment has been imbalanced. Letting Armstrong and Dykes go and leaving us with one traditional number nine and a striker who needs a full season in the EFL was not good planning.

However, you have forgotten about Morrison who looks like he could be the back-up CB for JCS and in Varane, I think we tried to recruit the athletic CM that you were hoping for ?

Morrison is a young defender with no Championship experience. Whilst he looked promising in the few cup games he's played, it's a big ask to expect him to hit the ground running in the league. IMHO he was recruited as one for the future. As for Varane, lord knows what data the club was looking at. I hope I'm wrong but I just don't see it. In any event, with our dearth of central midfield options, we should have been targeting more than one signing for the DM/CM positions. Injuries and suspensions play a big part in this area of the pitch and we can't rely on a soon to be 35-year-old to carry the midfield.

The instance around the penalty yesterday is a microcosm of our team since the summer.

Too slow, too sluggish, no urgency, ambling to the ball and not being alert to what’s around them .
Embarrassing
