Match Thread: Hull is for Heroes 10:33 - Oct 1 with 41657 views | Bluce_Ree | Am I tripping or is the apathy so high that there's not even a match thread on game day? Apologies if I'm spackman-ing this. But I can't see one. It's a battle of midtable with Hull City on a DDLLWW run vs Ciffy's Supers (DDWDDL). I'm not going to say must win. It's too early for that. But it might be must win in terms of me not exploding in rage at us dropping points in a winnable home game. Marti's got this. 2-0. I've not looked at team news but let's just say Frey and Dembele. Or not. Who gives a f**k?

Even more reason not to put Santos up against him. At the very last Santos should've been hooked at half-time. [Post edited 1 Oct 21:31]

Last season there was several games where we didnât have a shot at all, on or off target⌠So not yet!

We never score during those rare periods when we aren't being handed our arses to us. Not rocket science, but beyond the management and players. I doubt it you put all the minutes we have played well in the Championship together so far...we would struggle to make a full 90 mins. [Post edited 1 Oct 21:41]

Looking at the replay I think the pass was too tight and he had to dig it out of his feet. Chance gone.

Yes, Celar should do better there, but a little tricky getting caught in his feet. My bigger issue is he has had at least two headers in recent games that just have to be goals. [Post edited 1 Oct 21:35]

Match Thread: Hull is for Heroes on 21:20 - Oct 1 by QPunkR | Don't shoot me here because I actually like Nardi - but how tf is it that most weeks this season, the number of shots on target from the opposition precisely equals how many goals they score?? I'm genuinely mystified as Nardi seems to be such a massive upgrade on Begovic. And Steve Cook is still performing his heroics every singly game |
A football strategist could answer it better, but basically I think if the shot isn't blocked then there's a higher than acceptable chance that our defenders aren't going to be in position to stop a shot on goal. The first was a great strike. I'm not that worried about that one tbh, other than not getting out to block it of course. That was more about how we'd respond. But the second one - once they get it past the initial challenges you've got Field moving late towards the ball, and Jimmy standing off it with his hand in the air otherwise doing nothing. The third I can't be arsed to think about, but it does all need looked at. [Post edited 1 Oct 21:47]

I like him...as a person. As a manager...not convinced. His only caveat is the same as all those before him though...who would do any better with the constant shite we keep signing. This is on the players for now. He needs to do something though to stop the slide. [Post edited 1 Oct 21:44]

Of course it's legitimate to question him! If we keep doing the same things, making the same ridiculous mistakes and the management team can't solve it or change our approach then of course it's legitimate to question him. Same with my previous point about Nardi. We can't keep conceding every shot on target forever without there being any questions

Santos looks vulnerable Celar hasn't shown me anything. set pieces have been incredibly poor. What has happened to Dembele? Started the season so well. Plus side... Saito has a good game.
