Coventry City v Swansea City : Match day thread on 17:04 - Sep 21 with 2308 views | AnotherJohn | Ah well, squeaked through to come away with a good result. After his "though ball" last week, Ronald went one better today and got on the scoresheet. Not so smart to lean to his left given where he was standing. Or am I being too harsh?

Coventry City v Swansea City : Match day thread on 16:53 - Sep 21 by sons_of_omri | I hate how we let sloppiness gift the opposition chances to run at us |
Absolute. We can all talk about the good points which occurred mainly in the first half. Second half was sloppy. Players tried to do too much themselves and took poor decisions, Franco and Ronald guilty. Sine excellent saves by Vigoroux but he dropped two simple balls to hand but luckily got away with it. We were extremely lucky to get away with the penalty shout. They don’t come clearer than that. Arm sticking out and interfered with what could have been a scoring opportunity. Our two full backs can’t defend. They allow the opposition too much space and in Tymon’s case they have the freedom of the city. But we won, so I’m delighted but we need to play like we did in the first half for 90+ mins not just one half. Great travelling support who were loud on the stream

For once can’t complain about an English ref. Frankly,a quite shocking decision that ,had it been us, we would have gone full tilt . Our final ball is still atrocious We have little strike power Reality though ,as Ibsee it,this league is nothing for us to be fearful over . In fact,we should be looking at ways of getting out, upwards, not just surviving . Larry is becoming a terrific keeper ,no question. Franco a real fighter ( sounds wrong that) and Cabango again rock solid apart from the handball However, why bring three aging players together . Yeah,to see the game out with 15 mins left Anyway…it’s a win Much to do but three point

That’s the best we can hope for when we’ve effectively got one striker. Fair play, Williams is grinding out the results. Can’t imagine how Potter, Cooper or Martin would have managed without a goalscorer.

Coventry City v Swansea City : Match day thread on 21:41 - Sep 19 by KeithHaynes | We went in the original FOSCFA from Pembrokeshire. A bit naughty it was that day. I remember Jimmy Hill being in the news a lot around this time. It may well have been for the price he was charging away fans or the fact he was behind it. One of those trips like Man City, WBA , Arsenal, Liverpool and Man Utd away during our two seasons in the top flight that stay with me to this day. |
One of their ends was all seated and open to the elements and his response was that fans could buy a Talbot logo plastic poncho. Talbot were their sponsors at the time.

It was but we’ve really got to extend that to 75-80 minutes. No team really has 90 mins dominance.

That's the way Rhondda, positivity. Totally agree with the pressing. Win the ball back and then play good, forward thinking football.

Early days but the team is coming together nicely, hopefully as confidence grows we will dominate for longer periods

We won’t do that against better teams. Fair enough we could and should have in the derby.

For me, it wasn’t so much that we ran them ragged for half an hour. It was that when they were on top, aside from the header that hit the bar, they didn’t really create much. We held them at bay quite effectively. We will be under the cosh fairly often this season and thought we dealt with that well. We did get lucky with the Cabango penalty shout.

Coventry City v Swansea City : Match day thread on 19:54 - Sep 21 with 1229 views | swan65split | Very grateful for the 3 points and again showing improvement, some excellent performances and effort. showed at times what I hate about the game, signs of class, then sloppy, but I am hoping its going to get better. cant fathom how the ref didn't see the handball Ronald deffo needs to "look" at that final ball!!! Onward and upwards YJBs
Coventry City v Swansea City : Match day thread on 21:00 - Sep 21 with 1042 views | DaPs166 | Incredible today. I was so impressed with how we played in the first half. And the second half we showed once again that we can weather a storm and hold onto a win. Our pressing was fantastic. Players really fighting to get to the first ball and also to block/turn over possession. Much more direct and positive passing. We looked so comfortable. This is the best I’ve seen us play for a long, long time. Well worth the trip up, the 5 hours driving and the parking ticket I got 😅
