Darling, Cabango & Cullen : Contract Latest on 07:12 - Sep 14 by jack247 | To be fair, he can’t really resort to calling people a fantasist, a human Groundhog Day or of completely making scenarios up and presenting them as fact, because none of that applies to anyone else. He’s quite happy to slag the fanbase off as a whole though. Just because he takes a pop in a snidey way rather than directly, doesn’t mean he doesn’t dish it out. |

Darling, Cabango & Cullen : Contract Latest on 08:37 - Sep 15 with 2174 views | RichardO | We have a settled and relatively experienced back four at the moment I do include Tymon rather than Naughton in that four but by January that could be gone, we really need to create some stability within the team with the back up of experience and youth but that older experienced players should not have to be relied on and "our" youth has to given it head. Has the club cut the wages throughout the team enough to be able to reward our more essential players with better contracts than they have at the moment, a little pay rise may be enough to secure the likes of Cabango a bit longer as we try and create a strength in depth in the team which most definitely need it. Don't know what both Darling and Cabango are on but surely parity in the two's contract has to be the way forward whether both of them would be happy with is another thing.

They key here is ‘That’s something I don’t get involved in’ He should talk to his agent more 🙄 He’s spoken to the manager that’s for sure. If it’s something he doesn’t get involved in, how would he know ? Is he talking personally ? Whatever, he knows exactly what’s on offer. I’m not buying that at all.

He's going this season as the club won't pay what he's worth. Welcome to the next level eh 😏

Is that to give other clubs opportunity to turn the players heads? Do our owner have any intention to renew them or do they think they can find some undiscovered gem willing to play for a fiver and chippy tea from Rossi's? | | | | Login to get fewer ads

maybe with the departure of the sporting director - delays are now inevitable. I would imagine we could be back to new targets for the January transfer window?

After the excellent performances yesterday by Cabango and Cullen their agents are going to find it easier to get better deals elsewhere. It may well have backfired on the club, another foolish mistake.
Darling, Cabango & Cullen : Contract Latest on 14:48 - Oct 15 with 932 views | ReslovenSwan1 | Darling wants to leave I suspect and there is nothing the club can do to stop him. Darling has made misleading comments to keep him sweet with the fans until the end of the season. Ramsey played this game at Arsenal saying " there is no contract offer on the table" The club should sell him if at all possible. Hopefully Abbey or Pederson can step in. Cabango should be offered a good long deal as an ever improving academy player. Cullen can do what he likes. If any offer comes in take it. The club has a very poor record in developing forwards. He has been given every chance including a penalty. He is OK but OK is not good enough.. Local number 9 for Swansea is still vacant. Josh Thomas is struggling. Perhaps Woodward is the man. That is where the budget should be going. And the two lads linked with Arsenal and Man City. Sam Parker is tied up thankfully. [Post edited 15 Oct 14:50]

Nothing they can do to stop him because they’ve left it this late. My guess is they will all get better offers from other clubs. Just depends how much they want to stay here. Woeful and costly mismanagement.

I hope it doesn’t come down to choosing between the two senior centre backs at the club. Nathan Blake on the radio a couple of weeks ago - paraphrased - the ball is way out of Swanseas court, they’ve left it too late and consequently have no real control over the situation. Not the exact words but he was pretty emphatic.

The club need to sell one and pay the other one. Darling out pay Cabango. Lissah is highly armed and needs to press on this season. Losing both would be difficult with Lissah having w very little senior game time. Faakre? does not look mobile enough

I know that’s only an educated guess, but the finances are so bad we can’t afford to keep two senior centre backs on the books, we’re in serious trouble.

Then it has to be said we shouldn’t aspire to anything ever, these stupid contract offers are just that. Darling and Cabango know what’s on offer and that’s why they haven’t signed them. As for Liam, as he said, I won’t have my pants pulled down. It’s all about saving money, and it will come back and bite us.

Absolutely. I have very little confidence in these owners and think avoiding relegation would be a decent result, even given our encouraging start. We either get taken over, or we’ll be relegated in the next couple of seasons.

The three will move on. The thought that we will sell one defender to pay the other defender is absurd. All three believe the club are taking the P by messing around with their futures, the agents of all three have better offers on the table. We have left it too late unless we table significantly improved offers immediately and we won't.

It is football. If footballers will not sign deals there is nothing the club can do about it. We all know that all three players have been offered what is fabulous money for you and me "Taking the p" is nonsense. I am perfectly happy y to see Cullen walk away and end up in league 1. Darling wants to move on the club needs to get a fee from him Swansea bought Manning for £250k and did not wait for his contact to end. The club will probably have to overpay Cabango. Give him more money that he is worth for stability and continuity. There are plenty of players at least as good as Cullen in the lower league with higher potential. [Post edited 15 Oct 17:41]

Cullen has a double your money offer from at least one Championship club. As he has said to Keith, he won't have his pants pulled down. [Post edited 15 Oct 17:50]
