Rest of the Championship thread 11:07 - Aug 10 with 110376 views | Hunterhoop | Toyed with this idea last season. Shall we have a thread to discuss, comment on, cover the rest of the league? A place to discuss other teams’ results, performances, financial implosions, etc? For example, last night, anyone catch either of the first two games? I didn’t. But somewhat surprised/worried Blackburn scored 4 given how they are meant to struggle. Was it Derby being utter sh*te? Sounds like Preston are continuing in the same vein of being incredibly dull. Clive, what do you think? Worth making a sticky? Might reduce the number of threads to manage.

Rest of the Championship thread on 23:45 - Jan 9 by BrianMcCarthy | Completely agree. I posted on some thread this week the very same thing about the oxymoron of 'making your own luck', and a few posters answered back with great phrases and quotes to the same effect. |
Yeah, and what Marti said about that was along the lines of what Hunter's talking about which is actually reducing the likelihood of failure by hard work and focusing on the right things.

I think "interesting" applies just for the results, but poor would probably be just as accurate! Will Plymouth playing an extra game this week be in our favour?

Remember a few weeks ago when we thought Oxford were the worst team we'd seen this season ...

I hope they are tired as they haven't won in the league since 5 November. It is all set up for us to change that and they seem to raise their game for us looking at our results against them over many years.

Depends if you're looking up or down. If up, you want Blackburn to lose. Increasing our chances of getting a playoff slot, however slim that would be. If down, you want as many teams below us as possible, including Portsmouth. BRFC end up winning 3-0.

Rest of the Championship thread on 22:31 - Jan 15 with 2281 views | TomS | Stoke may be in a bit of bother from now until the end of the season. Tom Cannon, their top scorer, was on loan from Leicester and has just been recalled by them! Ouch....
Rest of the Championship thread on 22:49 - Jan 15 with 2217 views | ManinBlack | If we had those 5 points we tossed away at home to Portsmouth and Plymouth we would virtually have been safe now. Two very poor sides away from home constantly losing on their travels.

Cheer up. We'll almost certainly be safe if we do as badly as a point per game for the remaining games.

Rest of the Championship thread on 09:20 - Jan 16 with 1740 views | Northernr | Sheff Wed fan forum went on for 6 hours last night in which Derek Chansiri said he and Danny Rohl are no longer speaking, no January transfers because the manager won't speak to him about it. Southampton so pissd off with it they recalled Shea Charles just before the midnight deadline. Can't guarantee they won't breach FFP AGAIN. @WTIDPOD feed from the event well worth a read.

Deep joy to hear this but still wont stop Barry Bannon orchestrating Weds to a 2-1 win at (m)LR in a couple of weeks

Rest of the Championship thread on 10:54 - Jan 16 with 1484 views | Hunterhoop | Chansiri is a lunatic. Rohl will presumably be off soon then. Perhaps summer at the latest. They could be relegation candidates next season, especially if they have a points deduction incoming. Is anyone at risk of getting a points deduction this season?

Southampton would have talked to Charles as well. Asked him how he feels and told him they have some other clubs in the wings for him. If Charles had said ... "I want to play and this place is fine, let me stay, it's all good" then they would have backed the player and let him stay. Seeing as he's recalled, he did not say that, which shows that even the players know its a fecked up situation. Rohl will be off as soon as any top offer comes in. If he goes early, they get a points deduction and loans leave, then they could easily find themselves ni a relation dogfight. As we have seen with QPR, a few missing players (in our case injuries) and you're in big trouble.
