It seems a mental thing with Willock as he doesn't trust his hamstring

Another player who's regressed in the last few months

All I'll say is this , as I'm fuming at the moment, either he lied he was fit or our physio,s are crap or the ultimate he don't fancy it!!! I've been pretty angry following Rangers over the years but honestly that done me !! I'm totally disengaged from this shambles.

Funnily enough his brother just went off for Newcastle holding his hamstring, must be something in the family genes.

willock needs a psychologist i think. his problem is in the head, he’s so afraid of getting injured again. at the start of the season i thought he would be our new taarabt. doesn’t help that he’s getting benched, they need to play him back into the team. but come on, he was on for less than 10 minutes today and he’s injured again! football is as much in the head as it is in the feet, and i think that’s where his problem is.

Tell him to sign a new deal for another couple of years and we will look after him. He can take the rest of the season off.

I was thinking along the same lines. He's looking at his career going down the tubes – or the most productive part of it. For both party's sakes the club needs to help him through this, whether it's physical or psychological.

In fairness he pulled up immediately when going for the ball on the goal line. He was holding his right hamstring, but waved away the bench to signal he'd be ok.
The game started again and he couldn't run. So I think it is genuine.
The reality is we dont have a big squad so rush players back, and then moan when they're all injured.

Him pulling up and going off infuriated me when it happened, but didn’t surprise me .
If you go back to last week , Lowe scored and wheeled away to celebrate, the ball rolled out of the net where the on running Willock geared up to do what lots and lots of players do , smash the ball into the net and go celebrate with his team mate . However, just as Willock went to smash it with his right …he checked stopped and adjusted his body shape completely and awkwardly shanked the ball with his left towards the goal.
It was unnatural and told me everything we all suspected…that he had a major problem either with the hamstring itself or in his head .
Today proved (if it did go again) that it’s in the hamstring and he needs major surgery and rehab to properly strengthen.

So either he has been playing with an injury and conning everybody or our medical team need to really be looked at . It’s not out of nowhere …we could all see it for months !

I don’t wish injury on anybody, but if he has been trying to play whilst knowing there is a problem then that’s conning his teammates, his manager and most of all us fans .
Our most sellable asset 6 months ago is now worth sod all and is a big problem for the club .
Andy Sinton suggested in commentary today that Chris needs to ask questions about whether he conducts himself professionally enough away from the club to look after it properly. That’s as damning a suggestion as there can be.

He doesn’t look right physically and hasn’t since his return in December. Maybe it’s a case of not trusting his body but his movement is completely off compared to pre injury.

Some on here say that he’s playing within himself ahead of a move this summer but I can’t see another club (upper Championship/lower premiership) taking a punt on him with his current fitness and form issues.

I don’t think it’s mental. His hamstring isn’t right, clearly it isn’t.
I feel for him to be honest, but it fks us in so many ways i don’t even want to think about it

Bare bones.

Les said in Clive’s recent interview with him that we have just brought in a psychologist….

"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."

I know I've said this before, and people don't like it, but continue like this and refuse to sign a new contract, I wouldn't take the years option.

Usually a professional player would have to push through a period of self doubt / recovery from injury however with Willock, it appears to me that he is no longer invested in the next 6 or 18 month at QPR and would rather preserve himself for his next club… probably in his mind hoping only 6 months left at QPR.

I think he has the same issues Michael Owen had with his hamstrings. I feel for the lad.

He did not get a chance to warm up at all once Armstrong jumped up and handeled the ball like a clown when it could have fallen to Chair.
Love the kid but FFS dont jump ,touch the ball and fall down that started a chair reaction ending with Willock sitting down to crush our souls.
We have massive issues then add to the fact the ref did not have the balls to red card 2 Millwall players its another miserable Saturday

Going slightly off on a tangent, all of the current players injured; Willock, Balogun, Richards, Roberts, Amos, Salter were all injured at the start of the season.
Were they all rushed back too soon under Beale, and now we are suffering the consequences, or are they all just a bunch of sicknotes?

I think some were rushed back, to cover Beales giant ego, and we are really suffering the fallout.

If he told the manager he was fit and backed up by our medical team, absolutely he should be on the bench at least.

But, every chance you’ll tug your hammy after 4 minutes of play if you haven’t spent a single minute warming up properly in the 68+ mins before coming on.
