Joel Piroe 20:51 - Oct 17 with 3148 views | PatchesOHoulihan | Rewatching the game his movement is incredible considering how few times we actually get the ball to him. He doesn’t stop. If we can find a way to get the ball to him a bit more he will score for fun all season. Tremendous purchase

With better service he’ll 30 never mind 20. Make the most of him, if we go up or not he’ll go to a mid table /edge of the top six PL side. Simply outstanding.

Selfless too which is rare in strikers. Doesn’t ever seem to complain when the ball doesn’t come to him, just moves back and does it again. Think we’ll make a few quid off him

Spot on - some of his support play and lay offs are sublime. He’s going to be a £20 million plus player.

Joel Piroe on 01:02 - Oct 18 with 2920 views | Dr_Parnassus | Best striker we have had at this level for decades. Anyone thinking Ayew is a better striker are off their heads as has been suggested previously. The movement, instinctive finishing and touch of a natural striker is chalk and cheese when you compare it against putting a wide forward or winger there. This is what I was talking about last year when it comes to specialists and those that can do a job, its incomparable. I was thinking of all our strikers outside the Premier League that we have had, and who I would swap him for. I have been following since the early 90's and I cant think of anyone.

Joel Piroe on 08:40 - Oct 18 with 2785 views | Dr_Winston | He was compared elsewhere to Michu and that's a comparison I can get behind. There's an intelligence to his movement off the ball that's very reminiscent of him. Plus he doesn't miss many chances. A word of caution however. It's very easy to get excited about strikers, but history is littered with those who were prolific in the Championship and failed to make the step up. Just in our own recent history we've got Jason Scotland and Oli McBurnie who tore the Championship up and struggled in the Prem. Only way to know if Piroe can do it is for him to play there. Anyone who claims to know now that he's good enough is full of sh*t.

Says you. How about a little respect for opinions that differ from yours. Try a little tenderness. Piroe is as vital to us as any recent player we have had, certainly more than Grimes,Naughton both over praised but that is my opinion. Anyone who doesn’t get debate without rancour is full of faeces ..

This alone makes him hot Give this fella some support and he will deliver. This doesn’t mean headlesschicken Cullen though. Another day when Whittaker wonder wtf is going on. Piroe should have been subbed after the third goal immediately to save him. He is vital for us

Yay, something we agree on. A very clever forward player. Didn't the clog says he'd be our worst ever signing.
Joel Piroe on 17:11 - Oct 18 with 2543 views | swancity | Some encouraging signs but a bit premature to be talking about him in terms of comparisons with Michu😂 He needs to put himself about a bit more, work harder for the team and use that big frame he’s got to get amongst defenders. He’s got potential. That much is obvious but equally he could disappear off the radar too.

I’d say fare more than just encouraging signs. He could be out of the game for 85 minutes but could even then hit a brace. His spacial awareness, his clever off the ball running and all round team contribution is incredible. The finesse with which he scores is delightful to watch - his goal was a thing of beauty and only a very good save prevented him from opening the scoring yesterday. As fine a finisher as I’ve seen in a Swansea shirt - both slightly different style wise to Michu and obviously a division below but I’d be amazed if someone like Leeds didn’t take a punt on him.

. Mightily disgruntled with Martin's humiliating rejection from the off, stripping Piroe of the #9 jersey and ditching him unceremoniously from the inaugural 1st team squad, at the 11th hour. Sending him home. Martin totally fecked it up, which has to be one of the very worst judgement calls, ever. Even some of our dimmer armchairs spotted his calibre, yet Martin didn't. Mis-management, off the scale. Fortunately for us Piroe's dad kept him focused, and forced an apology from Martin. . . [Post edited 18 Oct 2021 21:52]

Well whatever happened there’s no rift at all now. So in the end good man management which has resulted in performances of huge effort and some fantastic goals. If he’s sulking then I wonder what he’d be like happy? Edit - another snide sideswipe at a manager whose Swansea sides have hit three goals twice in matches within the first two and a half months of the league season- same as the Steve Cooper inspired team with Andre Ayew could manage all season?? Russ is the man. [Post edited 18 Oct 2021 22:08]

Bit of a reach that one. But on the trail of accuracy, Coopers Swansea hit 3 goals twice in his first 4 games and 5 times in his first 7. Quite remarkable. What he has to do with the conversation however I’m not entirely sure, but let’s make sure we are accurate of making comparisons. [Post edited 19 Oct 2021 1:06]

It’s certainly not “ incredible “. 😀 His work rate arguably needs to improve and that includes his off the ball movement when we are in possession and when out of possession ie closing down their players He needs to use his big frame to better effect and to physically up his game. He’s showing that he might well be an excellent signing but prior to coming here he’s scored just 3 times in around 30 games at his two previous clubs. There’s a long way to go. He’s made a decent start that’s all.

Cullen's work rate is far greater.Ttouble is he doesn't have the ability Piroe has. He is a better natural striker than Michu but not the personality . We loved Michu a much for his sheer crazyiness and spectacular strikes against the big billy clubs.I love the guy. Piroe plays at a lower level right now but he seems even more deadly in front of goal. Really, doesn't matter .

You haven't missed alot. Came out and spoke about his good relationship with Russell Martin the other day. "i have a really good relationship with the "gaffer". He's a really honest person, so it's really nice. I have the feeling he really gives the team confidence. I think that's why we can play, the way we play"

It’s surprising how rare two footedness is in the modern game. I don’t know if you play the game FIFA at all but every player on there has a weak foot rating and for some bizarre reason they’ve decided to give Matt grimes five stars out of five this year.
