"The fact there are only 11 points between 5th and 19th places in the Premier League is pretty extraordinary. At the same stage of last season that gap was 30 points."
Quote from Bruce Millington on Twitter - food for thought.
Much better for middle of the road clubs like us, as we could get anything from a European spot to relegation. Normally the league is split up into 3 or 4 groups with quite big gaps between them in points terms. This year there is all to play for from 5th to 19th for everyone.
You're nothing but a lot of talk n'a' badge.

That's how I see it too. Admittedly I have FAR more interest this year than last - it is much more open and entertaining. Just hope Saints keep up this fine form.
For the last 12 games (out of 24 so far), Saints are still 3rd in the form table behind Liverpool and Man City - incredible given the sh*t start.
It grows stronger every year as the huge amounts of money available to every club in the league means it can easily outstrip all other leagues in the world, as witnessed by the fact that the leaders are World Club Champions and that both the Champions League and Europa League finals were between Premier League clubs. TV figures clearly indicate that it is also considered the most entertaining and exciting league worldwide. There was a spell when the top La Liga clubs were better but not now. Every team in the Premier League could beat the team in the equivalent position in any other league in the world.
