RUGBY WORLD CUP 2019 THREAD on 09:54 - Oct 19 by dickythorpe | Mako Vunipola immense! Fair play England too strong for the Aussies today. |
They look very very good when you let them play in your half Dicky. I think the Oz played into their hands today. Far too many errors in both 22s and you just can’t do that. I think the final winner will come from the England All Blacks match. I don’t think Wales, if we get past France have the artillery to mortally wound either on the games I’ve seen. If this Ireland team pull off a miracle, England will wipe them out I think. Still, the great thing about tournament play is that you really never know.

Many "experts" in the 6 Nations said we couldn't live with England. History will tell you something different.

Not a chance, ABs tournament winners no question. So looks like england v NZ in semis, that's how far they will go. Come on Wales.

I know, I’m just commenting on what I’m watching. In a ne off game under pressure between any of these teams it’s a fine margin. Oz score on the line at 27. 16 and that’s an entirely different last 20. Can’t deny England looked strong and powerful, and their backs looked dangerous. I didn’t expect them to play that way. I very much doubt we’ll get to play them one way or the other. Let’s see how the Blacks are looking later.

I hope that the kiwis destroy Ireland only for the simple reason that they will be fresh for the saes. Kiwis please please beat the english

Swing lowwww... ;) Marvellous performance Billy hasn't looked at his best this season, the two 'karate kids' as their affectionately known have been nothing short of outstanding. [Post edited 19 Oct 2019 10:53]

RUGBY WORLD CUP 2019 THREAD on 11:01 - Oct 19 with 1210 views | union_jack | ABs will be too strong for both Ireland and England imo but the England v NZ game will be close I reckon. If Wales get to the final against England I reckon Wales will win. I don’t think they are better man-for-man (though it’s close) but Wales will be so pumped for that I reckon they’ll do it. Long way to go before that though and if they beat France, SA may prove too tough. Interesting week ahead.

Not a popular comment I’m sure but I totally agree. Anyway, we know who two of the semi-finalists are now. I hope Wales can join them tomorrow.

Glad they got through as they’re more likely to beat NZ and we are more likely to best England should we get to the final. Plan next week is to run Snowdonia Marathon on the Saturday and watch the Wales (hopefully) in a pub in Llanberis on the Sunday

RUGBY WORLD CUP 2019 THREAD on 12:22 - Oct 19 with 1107 views | dickythorpe | There's just no panic in the All Black play, very cool. Mahoney went into a ruck shoulder first and was penalised, you'll never ref that at lower levels. These guys are tough and can take it, it wasn't a dangerous hit by him. Dickie Moriarty , Santa Reynolds and Chris Huish must be shaking their heads. [Post edited 19 Oct 2019 12:23]

As I said earlier, no but it will be close. I’d say at 60 mins it will be neck and back but NZ will power through in the last quarter.

RUGBY WORLD CUP 2019 THREAD on 14:46 - Oct 19 with 941 views | perplex | Actually Rugby is a great game but is only a minority sport in which only 10 countries play the game seriously with one totally dominating it., it's a shame countries like Germany, Russia, USA etc are unable to get the numbers to play the sport due to a lack of interest, then like football Rugby would become more competitive around the world.
