Because I see so many swans fans gushing about our football. It will always be like this under Potter, he strikes me as another Rodgers. Which was fine when this football was new and opponents didn’t know how to defend against it. But now every team tries it and 9 times out of 10 it fails.
I want to see direct, attacking football again. I don’t care about possession stats and going backwards.
This post will get downvoted because I’m a realist and not sucking on Potters pen*s. But I’m fed up with the “we won the possession how did we lose?”

He's not going to drop his friend in goal. That sort of goal against Manchester City will be what puts Potter's name in contention for jobs elsewhere. Quite clearly Potter is willing to hinder our ability to deal with any sort of cross / set piece just so we can score a couple of highlight reel goals passing it out from the back which will increase his reputation as a manager.
Quite frankly it's disgusting and why many fans hold him in such high regard bemuses me. |

The vast majority of fans on here & social media have praised the way we have tried to play in very trying circumstances all season.
It doesn't always come off, but some of our play has been breathtaking, best I've seen for years.
As someone who will be there whatever our firm, whatever league we are in I'm loving it.
We are not perfect by any stretch, but just a little backing for this gaffer would bring us plenty of success IMO |

Does anyone think we have the players to play another style? If we go more direct, is the ball going to stick with Oli up top? Is Dyer going to get right into the faces of the opposition if employed a high press? Is Grimes, Byers, Celina going to kick anything that moves in the middle if we go down that route?
These are the only players we have, there are no hatchet men, target men anyone else for that matter in the squad who could change much. |  |

Like Jasper said yesterday Norwich sold 2 players for a combined 30 million and reinvented themselves on the cheap.
Dan James Ollie and possibly the 2 Ayews would hopefully bring in close on that amount.
Can also see Routledge Fer and Narsingh all going.

Yea well we can only hope he's given some funds to work with.
Norwich despite their high transfer profit did bring in about 9 players, no matter what price I do not see that happening with us. They've also had some amazingly talented youngsters come through so I wouldn't bet on us emulating their successes unfortunately. | |

Thing is - We were all in agreement we needed a reset
We've done that, and lost a massive amount of talent.

Why does anyone think it is down to the style of play that we are not pushing for promotion?
We do play attacking football but we are short of a couple of players who can help us get there.
Since Roberto we have played possesion based football, what we lack is "Leon" type who distributed the balll from the centrbacks and always made themselves availble for a return pass.
We lack quick thinking, Grimes is starting to fit into that role,It has always amazed me why the club has never used Leon to "coach " a successor .
I dont think we are equipped to play route one football though I dont think that is waht you are implying either? | |
