Players that were a bit shite/mediocre but you liked them anyway.

I'll start:

Steve Watkin
Jason Price

Not possible.

David Hough.

If a winger went passed him once and tried again, he’d end up in the centre stand. No messing about.

I like the particular type of diamond in SCFC’s list that includes players that had played for some historically illustrious clubs in the highest division.

Martin Hayes, Peter Bodak, Gary Chivers, Steve Mardenborough, Terry Connor, Derek Parlane, etc.

Once playing for teams like Arsenal, Rangers, Leeds, Celtic, Wolves, Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United. They did rather end up a damp squib in comparison with the expectancy they arrived with! I would like to add 'Des Trick' to the list but not from any footballing ability judgment (Didn't he mark John Barnes once?) but solely down to the fact he had a name more suited to an end-of-pier magician than a professional footballer!

Argus!

Another one of those players who excelled when he was on loan so we gave him a permanent deal and it all went downhill from there...

He had a good cross in his left foot iirc but we never had anyone on the end of them. True to form, I think we let him go the same week we signed Rory Fallon for his aerial prowess. Clever that.

Wingers were afraid they’d end up on the NB. He nearly managed it once or twice.
