Leon - coaching staff on 18:44 - Nov 13 by monmouth | Christ, I’ve just read it. He’s assistant coach, but only when he’s not a)playing, b)training, c)playing tiddlywinks So basically he’s assistant coach when he’s injured. Clement must have become the biggest yes man we have ever had. from getting Curt out the door in hours to supinely accepting this. Does Leon know any attacking moves? We need a serious bit of luck, maybe he’ll smash it. I hope it works out. Good luck little man. [Post edited 13 Nov 2017 18:50]

Bang on about PC becoming the biggest fuking yes man we have ever had, he's put himself in this position and is desperate to keep his job so didn't have a say in the matter. I hope Leon knows what he's let himself in for HJ is typically trying to save a few quid and pacifying the natives at the same time. What will happen if we loose to Burnley on saturday, PC will probably get sacked and Leon will be hung out to dry until the next 1st team coach comes along. School boy error for me.

He's in every coaches meeting. Puts him in a very difficult situation if Hooter expects him to report back on what Clement is up to, strategy-wise!

Leon - coaching staff on 18:59 - Nov 13 by KGriz16 | I do not think for one minute PC will listen to Leon, I find PC quite arrogant and from his time being an assistant at some of Europe's top teams, I don't think he will consider Leon's opinions to be of some sort of value to him. I think the appointment has been thrust upon him. There is also a heavy assumption on this forum that Leon shares the same philosophy on football as some of the managers he's played under. Leon may also consider pragmatic football to be the way forward, or even a more direct way of playing. Whilst there are many cynical views on this appointment, I am pleased for Leon and if it is or isn't to keep the fans happy I'm glad to see us getting a man who knows what Swansea is all about (the city and the football club), I think we've been missing that for some time. I've also heard a new club captain is going to be appointed? [Post edited 13 Nov 2017 19:00]

I don't believe for one second that Leon would have the same philosophy as Monk. He is steeped in the ways of Arsenal and West Ham growing up, and the Martinez, Swanserola style. It's how he plays, and in his blood.

Would it matter if they hadn't been? Do they have the football knowledge to unearth other unhidden gems? And even if they did, would anyone else at the club listen to them?

If the Trust won't speak up about yet more Gonzo interference in team matters then we truly are fûcked

Arsenal and west ham was years and years ago. Leon is the next manager of swansea with no explanation as to why he was appointed.
