Henry on why he fell out with Ollie - http://www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/qpr-man-confirms-fall-holloway

Yeah. Right.

And Ollie on Henry - http://www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/karl-henry-not-given-qpr-contract-says-hollow

No, we wouldn't have given him a new deal either.

You do realise that negative aspects of successful players and staff present and past can be observed without anyone diminishing or showing lack of appreciation for their achievements. It's really not necessary to defend their eternal hero shrine forever if you're over the age of five.

You do realise Mr Patronising that calling a former manager a crook (without any evidence) and our current manager "slippery" is just a tad over disrespectful ??
especially when these managers have done so much for our club

EDIT, life is too short.

Let me be clear PP, and feel free to refer to this as many times as you like as we do this dance every so often don't we.

Just like Anti, I heard from a player's mouth that Neil Warnock indulged in taking a fee from players in exchange for game time and signing them in the first place. It was convincing enough for me to consider him a crook. This is a QPR issue and therefore relevant to the theme of the site, hence the reason I brought it up. The fact that he was the most successful manager in my lifetime is a separate issue of which I am grateful.

As for Holloway, I worship the ground he walks on. I worship him now and I worship him then. If it was up to me he would never have left in the first place and he'd now be manager of QPR in his 16th year. The slippery sod comment is not meant as a slight if you want me to re label him a 'media magician' like a headline in The Sun I can do that for you if it stops your feelings being hurt.

Anyway I'll bookmark this so I can bring it up again in another 6 months.

why don't you name the players, and the fees involved then ?
as I said to Antti its funny how NW has escaped doing this so called "crime" for so long when the likes of redknapp, sam, fergie, pullis have all been under investigation or been part of undercover stings
you have no evidence only hear say so calling someone a crook is libellous and disrespectful, its the same as me putting it over social media that you had your hands in the Till at work because a couple of ex employees told me
I find it funny that you pulled someone up the other day on a thread about disrespecting Holloway but then you go and call him a slippery sod , ie meaning that he is dodgy ,
book mark it all you want until you start naming players and what he has done I will file it under bollox

And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles Brian Moore

Sorry there is no evidence against NW its hear say & gossip used by those who didn't want him back here a second time, a bit like his failed coup to be DOF at Les's expense
its funny how high profile managers like Fergie, Arry, Big Sam , Pullis have all had things reported on them or been a part of investigations but Warnock has slipped under the radar even though all of these ex players you know have something on him

having seen the pathetic attempts of chery this year I feel its safe to say he wasn't up to it same as Polter who had a "back injury" over xmas , they didn't want to be here so they got shown the door

Mainly because what some managers do is so low level it's not worth reporting on, and i don't really consider it crookery either.

In the 89th minute, turning round, asking who on the bench has the biggest appearance bonus, putting them on, taking 50% of it, is wrong, but hardly criminal - it's a gentleman's agreement. Not saying NW did this. Just using it as an example. And that's not hearsay, it's fact. That happens and continues to happen and has happened for donkey's years.

Chery got 14 goals in under 18 months, plus loads of assists and made more chances than anyone else at the club all season. As usual, you take a few weeks of being out of form (when the rest of the side was pretty poor too) and extrapolate it all the way to 'he's no good'. Thank fk you're not our manager, because no player would ever last more than 6 months. Polter always worked his balls off for us - it's funny you get all defensive about evidence and hearsay about NW, but then do the exact same thing with Polter, without batting an eye. It was only 2 weeks ago Luongo's biggest critics were crowing they were right all along, only for him to play very well twice in a row and now it's gone quiet again.

Bare bones.

Wasn't there a loanee, who barely played for us but went on to play in the prem, who made an accusation on twitter or some such. He may have taken it down shortly after.

He reacted because Neil Warnock criticised a penalty he took on Sky.

What you have described about subs and appearances is something from the 70s and 80s that happened at every club you haven't come up with anything on NW , again name the players and what he has taken

as for what mangers do now is low level its not worth reporting on , your talking rubbish
did you miss the big expose by the telegraph, they even tried it on JFH , if NW was dodgy or even had a hint of being a crook don't you think the newspaper would have gone after him ? after all that would have been an easy result and more of a name than eric black

as for chery I never called him useless, although I don't rate him as much as you obviously , I just found his effort & workrate especially since September terrible
am I wrong? he is gone he didn't want to be here so good riddance
same as Polter yes he grafted , was he that good no, did he not want to play for us of course he didn't , it was reported by your good friend Dave mc that he didn't
massiomo luango I have never slated

Think you're getting a bit confused paul.

I meant what those managers doing - the subs and appearances thing - is low level, and that's why it's not reported on. Not even sure it's illegal, just unethical. Absolutely don't think NW has done anything terribly wrong.

I never said that's what NW did and i couldn't tell you what i've heard or who said it. NW is clearly litigious, so don't fancy going up before the beak, and neither would those players! Have some common sense. If you don't believe it, that's fine! No one's forcing you.

Bare bones.

Henry has obviously taken the things Ollie has said about the previous teams and managers personally.
I didn't think Henry was that bad of a squad player overall . But this wasn't his best season and he's only going to get worse.
He never turned out to be the player I thought he was. I thought he was a nasty type of player, like the one who tried to smash Barton all over the pitch when we played Wolves.
Yeh he was part of our pedestrian, predictable plodders, but he was consistent and always made himself available for games in a team of shirkers. Plus he was always picked no matter who was manager. Maybe that's why he took exception to what Ollie said.?

Henry is now 34 years old he didnt fit the profile QPR were going for the young hungry footballers thing which is where the likes of Gladwin and Washington were earmarked as players to develope and perhaps sell on at huge profit.

Which idiot sanctioned Henry staying he should have gone in the Summer with a thanks very much.

He does try but he's not really for the most part up to it anymore.

Holloway shouldnt have commented publicly in my view and neither should Henry, but who is really likely to take him next season anyway?

I think Henry was given a one year deal, relatively cheap, late in pre-season, when it became apparent that we were not going to be able to sign as many players as we would have liked and maybe because some of the ones that did come in were not going to be ready.

Similar to the year before when we borrowed Konchesky and signed Perch.

Henry has done a job for us. I am not one of those who seems to make him the scapegoat for everything. I think he has been very professional and in a number of matches, he did pretty well and was very solid. Obviously he had poor games but came under the microscope from a number of fans. Keeping him on this season didn't cost us the earth and some weeks, he was the only holding midfielder available. He also very much said he was staying as a squad player to fill in. The fact that JFH played him week in week out wasn't his fault. He's a football player, and he made himself available, unlike a lot of others we've had.

So, if he does move on, I wish him luck and I think he has been a far better servant to the club than other more high profile players through here. He's been involved in 109 games here and has an excellent discipline record, which we perhaps didn't expect.

I think Ollie could have handled this better but these things happen. But overall Henry's attitude and willingness to play wherever he has been asked, has been excellent. He's not the greatest footballer, but he certainly hasn't been the worst.

Never knowingly right.
