Ash - from a friend of a friend. 08:08 - Aug 7 with 26165 viewsThornburyswan

No pictures or quotes to back it up but 'I know someone who is very friendly with Ash's family' & she has heard that Everton have offered to almost double his wages' & he sees it as his last significant contract - he has been looking at property up in the North West.

I guess we could offer him more money to stay but suspect if Everton get anywhere near £12M+ we'll move on - assuming Fed's fit looks like him & Amat to me @ Burnley.

I have a little bit yes but you can understand why supporters get worried.
I still think it was shocking the way the way the club was sold behind the trusts back.

If they are going to double his wages then good luck to him. Anyone on here who wouldn't do exactly the same is a liar and a fool. Consider he could set his children up for life, given that he only has a few years left to play is an opportunity nobody could turn down.

He could set his children up for life now.

He still pays the same for bread, milk, bills... the same as everybody else.

The only difference is he can afford much more expensive clothes, holidays, car(s) and property. There's not much difference in earning 30k a week to 100k probably other than what you can save/invest in.

One year as a pro in the Prem and you are sorted for life. He's had 5, his family are more than okay.

Rumour has it he's been spotted looking at property in THE WIRRAL...

If only Perch still posted here he could confirm or deny...

I simply posted something you didn't agree with about Ashley Williams. Nothing remotely condescending about that. You were just trying to be clever again as you were the other day when I was talking to someone else about stuff to do in London.

If you don't agree with me, then fine. I can't see what the problem is. If you find my view annoying, then just ignore it. I have no idea whether I agree or don't agree with your opinion on anything as I've never really noticed it to be completely honest.

If you, and others, believe that Ashley Williams is so irreplaceable to our club that we should turn down the highest ever transfer fee for a centre back his age, then great. I disagree. Doesn't mean I start making personal attacks on you because to be frank, I simply don't care enough.

Loads of others have the same view as I do, loads have the same view as you.

Let's see if he's here next weekend.

4 pages on someone's friend of a friend told me rubbish...Some more humble pie to be dished out soon when the transfer window shuts. Wouldn't blame any player wanting to leave if this is how so called supporters think of them
