I don't think there can be any doubt he has been a disappointment with limited hand time. However averaging a goal every 2 games for Braga and surprisingly skilful for a big centre forward I think with some coaching and confidence we can salvage this signing. After all we might aswell as there is no sign of another striker coming in.

Never been convinced on Eder at all but what is genuinely accepted with strikers is that they need a run of games to be able to show what they can really do

Bony is a classic example of this

Eder hasn't been given a fair crack of the whip in the first team IMO.

Problem is that whenever we dislodge Ayew and move him back out wide, that's where we suffer.

I don't think he's ever going to be our #1 main man up front, and I don't think he was ever signed to be. Hopefully a change of management can get something out of him though.

A run of games in a team with even the vaguest suggestion of an attacking plan.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Perhaps our new Manager will be able to get the best out of him, nothing to lose if no one new is coming in.Yes we could have done better but too late now so lets hope we can stay in the PL and learn from our mistakes.

You keep saying that, is it a "mantra"?
It is basically the same team, with the same attacking plans that scored plenty of goals and came 8th last season.
They also attacked and scored goals at the beginning of this season as well.
Couldn't have anything to do with team playing terribly between August and when Curt took over could it?

He seems to want to play the same way as Michu to me. Looks like he might lack the goals but also looks as if he could bring others in to play.

It's the same with all our backup players. We are never going to be able to afford players who are good enough to sit on the bench for weeks on end, then suddenly play to PL standards.
However, we can't risk replacing a first team player just to give a reserve a decent run of games. Catch 22.

The only time I remember this happening was through injury when Davies came in for Taylor and, to a lesser degree, when Tremmel came in for a run of games when Vorm was injured and played well.

Someone like Chelsea can afford to buy a player then loan them out to a PL side where they will regular game time and they can see how good they really are. We can't.

Strangely, very few Chelsea players seem to come back from loans and get decent runs in the first team if memory serves correct. They prefer to sell them on.

.....Or other teams watching us, working us out and neutralising our attacking plans and we didn't have a clue how to counter what they were doing.
